The one elusive item that has been on my shopping list for YEARS … the trench coat. Of course the Burberry trench is the top tier, goal trench coat, but I could never (never say never?) justify spending that much on a coat. I’ve tried on numerous dupes and other styles, but all of them either felt cheap, didn’t fit right, or weren’t the right price point.
But this season, I finally got my hands on the best trench coat! It fits great, is made of high quality material, and is under $100!
The Best Trench Coat
Hard to believe, but this coat is from Amazon! If you’re a regular reader, you know that I love finding great clothing items on Amazon. You can see my monthly picks here! This trench made my September roundup!
This coat isn’t a cheap dupe that’s going to fall apart in a few wears. It’s made of 100% cotton and the quality of the design is really great! Thick fabric, substantial buttons, and great pocket details. And it’s just under $100!
The weight of this coat is perfect for fall and spring! And if you live in a warmer climate like Houston, it’s a great coat to take you through winter too!
For sizing details, I’m 5’4″ and I’m wearing a size XS. I’d recommend staying true to size or sizing down one size. There’s plenty of room in the XS for me to layer a light sweater underneath.
Styling Details
In these photos I styled the trench coat with my favorite dark wash skinny jeans. I’m wearing a size 27. If you’re in between sizes, size up. These jeans are high waisted and super tight (in a good way). Under my trench is this cute multi-colored leopard top by Joules. It’s currently on sale!
As for accessories, I’m never not wearing my trusty Quay sunglasses. I’ve had these for a couple of years now, and they’re still in great condition. And a steal at $55! For jewelry, I have my everyday Gorjana sunburst necklace on (I wear this almost daily), my trusty David Yurman/John Hardy stack, and my Stella & Dot love hoop earrings on!
