Everlane is one of my tried and true, go-to brands, always. I love their easy tees and tanks, and I’m a big fan of their shoes too (I have these and these!). I also love the culture of the brand – you can read more about them here.
While I have a few pairs of Everlane jeans, I’ve never tried any of the other pant styles. I’ve been eyeing the wide leg chinos for a while and finally got my hands on a pair a few weeks ago! They’re a bit out of my comfort zone, but once I put them on, I was in love!
How to Style Everlane Wide Leg Chinos
Today I wanted to share a few tips on styling the wide leg chinos since they’re quite the departure from standard skinny jeans.
I love the rise of the Everlane chinos – they’re super high wasted. I prefer high waisted pants. These in particular suck everything in and hit right at the smallest part of my waist. I wanted to highlight the high-waist rise, so I paired the pants with my never fail button-up shirt. I left a few buttons unbutton and knotted the ends so that the shirt hit right at the waistband of the chinos.
For shoes, I opted for flats here since I wanted a more casual vibe. I’m not that tall, 5’4″ for reference. Yes, wearing a bit of a wedge or heel would help elongate my legs a bit. But I wanted to show you that the wide leg chinos can be paired with flats without completely making you look stubby.
I chose these Madewell lace up sandals since they have a “barely there” look. This way, there’s more skin showing and my shoes don’t cut me off right where the chinos hit at my ankles.
