5 Clean Makeup Must Haves for Spring

With the change in the seasons, I always like to refresh a few of my makeup products. Springtime calls for pops of color and a little bit of shimmer. Today I’m sharing 5 clean makeup must haves for Spring!

Tinted Sunscreen

First things first, sunscreen. I use this Supergoop tinted mineral matte sunscreen everyday before applying any makeup. I love that it’s tinted. It goes on smoothly and adds a nice priming layer for my makeup. The matte finish isn’t greasy at all, and the product doesn’t smell like traditional sunscreen. Wins all around!

Pop of Pink Blush

You’ve likely seen me rave about my favorite blush combo on Instagram Stories, but they’re both so good, I can’t help it! I love pairing the Beautycounter cream blush in shade Hibiscus with the satin blush in shade Guava. I love the dewy finish of the cream blush and the pop of pink from the Guava shade in the satin blush. I recently ordered the satin blush in Passionfruit to add another color to my makeup bag! I should receive it this week, so stay tuned on Instagram Stories, I’ll share a peek at it IRL!

Shimmer Highlighter

I love a good highlighter, especially during the spring and summer. My favorite clean highlighter that I’ve found is this Maya Chia highlighter serum. I put a dab on each cheek bone, a bit on the tip of my nose, and a dab on my cupid’s bow. If you’ve never used highlighter before, I highly recommend trying it out. Especially during the warmer months, it adds such a nice little glow! I’ve also heard great things about the Beautycounter highlighter stick in Pearl Glow if the stick applicator is more your jam!

Bright Lip Stick

Springtime is when I lean more towards a bolder lip color. My go-to combo right now is this sheer lipstick in shade Rose and this lip gloss in shade Blush Shimmer.

Light Coverage Foundation

I love Beautycounter’s Tint Skin Foundation, especially for the warmer months when my face tends to have more natural color. I’ve said this before, but the word “foundation” in this product is a bit deceiving. I’d say the coverage is more like a CC cream. I wear the shade Sand. There’s just enough coverage to cover up discoloration and still let my summertime freckles peek through.
