Y’all, wow. If you’re new here or maybe you simply forgot (A LOT has happened in the past few months), in February, I launched my #CobaltDoGoodChallenge series. This was something I was really excited about – I had challenges planned for each month throughout the entire year! Looking back, I can only laugh.
We were on a roll in February and March! And then Coronavirus happened. I wanted to keep the challenges going even though I knew they might look a little different so in April, since it looked like most everyone would be staying home, I challenged you to to do good for YOURSELF – a treat yourself moment! I challenged you to focus on doing good for yourself. Treat yourself, take care of yourself. I included a list of 5 easy ways to practice self care at home.
As a little refresh, in February, I challenged you to swap out your ziplock bags and other plastic storage bags for reusable bags. I use Stasher bags – I like these because they’re microwave and dishwasher safe! I’ve also been trying out Bee’s Wrap too – this is a great alternative to saran/plastic wrap!
In March, I challenged you to not use any disposable coffee cups.
With the combination of Covid-19, quarantine, the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, and the deserved civil unrest that followed, I fell off the bandwagon with the #CobaltDoGoodChallenge. I wasn’t feeling inspired to share a challenge or participate in one in May or June. If you’re anything like I’ve been over the past couple of month’s, you’ve likely been challenging yourself daily.
So for July, I wanted to make it easy. Something we can all do. And there’s a plus to it too – the “Do Good” portion if you will – you’ll HELP SAVE LIVES with this month’s challenge!
July Challenge
Wear a mask! That’s it. That’s your challenge. 🙂
When you do, post a pic on Insta Stories and tag me @cobaltchronicles (if you’re private, DM me! I can’t see tags when you’re private, sadly).
I can’t believe I even have to say this, but this is not a political statement or a political issue. Wearing a mask simply means you care about the people in your community. That’s it. Be kind and wear a mask!
Wearing a mask = we all get to travel sooner
