Happy post-holiday Monday!  I hope you had an amazing Christmas spent with family and friends.  I’m heading back to DC from Shreveport, Louisiana today.  But looking forward to another short week with New Years Day this Friday!  I had a wonderful time at home catching up with old friends and spending time with my mom, dad, sister, and brother-in-law.

Today I’m sharing photos taken earlier this month when I visited NYC.  Michael and I actually stayed with friends that live across the Hudson River in Hoboken, NJ.  In my opinion, Hoboken is a little hidden gem.  It is directly across the river from the city, and it has an amazing waterfront park that provides outstanding views of New York!  It was a warm Sunday afternoon, which seems to be the theme this December, and we headed down to the water after brunching at Anthony David’s for a little stroll along the river.  This outfit was perfect for a warm winter day.  I kept it simple with a flannel shirt from H&M layered with my trusty leather jacket.  I have to give these ankle boots some props – not only did I wear them all day on Sunday, but I had them on for the entire day on Saturday when we walked over NINE miles around the city checking out all of the holiday decor and wandering through Central Park.  So not only are they cute, they are super comfortable too!
