Amazon Popcorn Sweater (wearing small) | Amazon Tank Dress ($20, wearing size medium, not maternity)| Golden Goose Sneakers (usually a size 7, I wear a 37 in GG)
Dressing the bump has been interesting! One day, all of my usual high waisted jeans fit, and the next, they didn’t! For me, this happened around 18 weeks.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve honed in on what works for me. I’m definitely in the camp of getting dressed most days of the weeks. I know some people can live in leggings. While I LOVE a good pair of Lululemon Aligns (seriously, the best), I feel a million times better about myself when I get dressed for the day.
Generally, I think my style lends itself to dressing the bump. Most of my fall sweaters tend to be a bit oversized and all work perfectly with my growing belly. In addition to my usual go-to combo of jeans and sweaters, I’ve been gravitating towards more form fitting dresses. I styled one several ways in the photos below and linked a few “new to my closet” dresses at the bottom of the post!
The ONLY maternity piece included in this post are my maternity jeans. Everything else is non-maternity and works perfectly for the growing bump!
If you’re expecting, I hope these outfits provide you with some maternity style inspiration!

Topshop Cardigan (wearing Regular XS) | Amazon Dress ($20, wearing size medium, not maternity)| Golden Goose Sneakers (run TTS – usual size 7, I wear a 37)
This $20 Amazon dress is the PERFECT layering piece! It’s form fitting so it shows off the bump. It looks so cute with a sweater thrown on over it like in the first photo or with an oversized cardigan. I styled it two different ways with my Grayson Liquid Flannel Button Up below.
The Grayson Button Up is so soft and cozy! I love all of my Grayson Button Ups but this one is definitely the softest!

Styling Maternity Jeans
I LOVE my Madewell Maternity Jeans! I’ve tried a couple of other pairs, and these are by far the best. I like that the band is full coverage (shown below) and not just panels. The band is a spandex material, which is WAY better than the cotton band in other pairs. The spandex is less bulky and stays put. Sizing is a bit counterintuitive. I agree with all of the reviews in that you need to size down one size from your usual denim size. I’m usually a size 26 in Madewell jeans and went with a size 25 in the maternity jeans. They fit perfectly with plenty of room to grow in the band!

The same Grayson Button Up as featured with the dress above! Super versatile piece. And so soft!

Check Sweater (Apricot, wearing size small) | Madewell Maternity Jeans (size down one size from usual Madewell denim size, I’m usually a 26, wearing 25) | Everlane Boots (TTS, so comfortable!)
Amazon Balloon Sleeve Sweater (wearing medium) | Madewell Maternity Jeans (size down one size from usual Madewell denim size, I’m usually a 26, wearing 25) | Everlane Boots (TTS, so comfortable!)
Topshop Rainbow Space Dye Sweater (ON SALE! wearing size small) Madewell Maternity Jeans (size down one size from usual Madewell denim size, I’m usually a 26, wearing 25) | Marc Fisher Boots (TTS)
I LOVE my rainbow space dye sweater! It was a NSale find that I actually can’t believe didn’t sell out. It’s back on sale (at the same NSale price!). It runs TTS. I’m wearing a size small. Pre-pregnancy, it fit a little more oversized. I styled it with a front tuck with most of my jeans. It looks cute fitted on the bump!
A few more items I recently snagged from Mango! In my experience, Mango dresses tend to be oversized, so they work perfectly with the bump! All three of these pieces are non-maternity. I went with my usual size small/2.
