It’s hard to believe the summer is almost over and the start of school is just around the corner! I love back to school season. There’s an excitement in the air for new routines and fresh starts. (You can read more about my morning routine here!) I’m excited for Weldon to meet his new teachers and classmates. This year he’s in a three year old program every weekday morning. Last year he attended school two days a week, so this new schedule seems like a big transition. I learned a lot about all the must haves for school last year. I feel much more prepared going into this new school year! I’ve been loving getting all of his toddler back to school essentials ready for the new year!
Toddler Back to School Essentials
My toddler back to school essentials list includes a few new school themed shirts (one specifically for first day pictures!), new shoes (our school requires close toed shoes), a new lunch bag and water bottles, a new first/last day sign for photos, and new organizational labels! Back to School Clothes for Toddler Boys
My favorite places to shop online for back to school clothes for toddler boys are Cecil & Lou, Smocked Auctions, and Etsy. For shoes, I love See Kai Run and New Balance. If your child requires wide fitting shoes like Weldon does, I highly recommend New Balance! They offer wide and extra wide sizing in kids’ shoes.
Back to School Organization and Labels
Two must haves for feeling organized this school year: these zip bags and these labels. I use the mesh zip bags for EVERYTHING. I have the 9 x 13 size and use them for sending in extra clothes for Weldon. They’re also great for organizing toys at home and snacks, diapers, sunscreen etc. in our diaper bags. For labels, I have a set of these multi-purpose sticker labels, a set of these clothing specific labels (great for school, especially during jacket/coat season!), and these water bottle bands (a must have!).
Also, my friend over at White Loft (she makes the personalized growth chart I have in Weldon’s room), just launched these cute acrylic letter tags! You can choose the color option. Perfect for labeling bags for school (and travel too!).
Back to School Supplies for Toddlers
As for supplies, we’re required to send in diapers, wipes, and tissues. I send a daily water bottle with Weldon. He only goes to school for half days, but for those of you who have full day toddlers, I’m linking my favorite nap maps and lunch boxes below. We have and love these Bentgo lunch organizers.
