Happy Halloween! I can hardly believe it’s the end of October … I’m pretty sure each month flies by faster than the last. October is one of my favorite months of the year. It’s finally starting to feel like fall, but it’s not too cold just yet, football is in full swing, and the holidays are just around the corner!
I’ve been loving incorporating these monthly recaps and sharing them with you! It’s a nice way to take a look back at the past few weeks and take note of what’s on tap for the month ahead. If you missed last month’s recap post, check it out here!
I celebrated my 34th birthday this month, and for some reason, my birthday always makes me assess my physical and mental wellness. I’m happy to report I’m feeling pretty good about both as I kick off this 34th year!
I completed the SoulCycle #SoulTogether challenge that they held in October. I committed to completing 10 classes this month, which might not sound like a lot, but with my travel schedule, I ended up having to squeeze my last two rides in right before leaving town earlier this week. It was a fun challenge to keep track of on the SoulCycle app throughout the month!
I took my last two solidcore classes at the beginning of the month before my package ran out. I didn’t renew my membership since I knew I was going to be out of town a lot towards the end of this month, but I’m planning on grabbing another 10-pack for November!
In addition to my workouts, in October 1, I started intermittent fasting. I’ll have a full post dedicated to this topic and my intermittent fasting experience so far on the blog next week. In the meantime, if you’re interested in reading more about a few people’s experience with intermittent fasting and the benefits, check out Liz’s perspective and Brooke’s too!
Michael and I are less than three months away from our wedding date! My mom and I visited the venue last month (check out a full recap and review of the resort here!). We are in the midst of finalizing all of the small details, which tend to be the things that sneak up on you during the planning process the most!
So far here on the blog I’ve shared my bridesmaid story and how I asked my bridesmaids to be in our wedding, why we chose to get married in The Bahamas, my wedding dress shopping experience, our wedding invitations and how we designed them, and my favorite wedding registry! Any other wedding planning topics you’re interested in hearing about? Let me know! Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment on this post!
My whirlwind travel months of September and October are winding down. While I spent the first two weeks of the month in DC, I headed down to Rosemary Beach for a long bachelorette weekend and I’m currently in the Turks & Caicos with Ocean Club Resorts. Michael and I have spent the last few days here in the Caribbean, and we’re heading to Louisiana on Friday for the LSU/Alabama football weekend.
I’ll be home in DC for most of the remainder of the year except for the holidays.
I can’t believe the holidays are upon us! I’m excited to start sharing holiday content here on the blog with you! I’m planning on publishing at least one gift guide a week starting not next week but the next. If there’s specific holiday shopping, decorating, or cooking topics you’d like to see here on the blog, shoot me an email at email@example.com!
