This outfit just screams fall to me! I wore this plaid poncho (last seen here) to visit Carter Mountain Orchard a few weeks ago when Michael and I visited Charlottesville. It was a brisk (and windy!) morning so I layered the poncho over a tight black turtleneck and threw on my over the knee boots. I added my trusty J.Crew parka (not pictured) on top for an extra layer of warmth.
It was my first time visiting an apple orchard, and it was a blast! We picked apples in the orchard, visited the country store where they had fresh apple butter, jams, and other goodies, and then grabbed apple cider donuts and hot apple cider to enjoy out on the back deck.
Now to switch gears a bit, I’m currently en route to Dallas for Thanksgiving (the first of many stops this week/weekend) – be sure to follow along on Instagram and Snapchat (username: cobaltchornicle) as I’ll be hitting up the Dallas Cowboys game tomorrow! I’ll see you back here tomorrow to share more of my Thanksgiving Day plans along with a sneak peek into a few Black Friday deals!
