We are living in wild times y’all. With essentially all brick and mortar shops closed for the time being, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite small businesses to support from your couch! If you’re doing a little spring shopping, check out these small businesses! Let’s shop small and help keep the small businesses we love up and running so they’ll still exist when this pandemic passes!

Small Businesses to Support from Your Couch

Favorite Sisters’ Boutique – Real Clothes. Real People. Real Prices. I love their tagline! And the sisters (and their mom!) that run the boutique are the sweetest!

cabi Clothing – My mom runs her small business through cabi. You’ve likely seen me share their pieces here on Cobalt Chronicles. They have the cutest pieces for spring and the quality of their pieces is amazing – pieces you’ll have for years to come! I have this lightweight top (small), the adorable creamy spring sweater below (xs) (not yet available to the public, but you can email my mom to place an order ahead of time for you! [email protected]), and these fun sandals (TTS)! For sizing, I usually size down one size in the tops. Pants and shoes run TTS.

SoSis – I met the owners, Annie Claire and Chelsey, via Instagram a few years ago. And ever since, I always make a point to stop in their Port Allen, Louisiana shop when I’m on my way to Baton Rouge! While their brick and mortar shop is temporarily closed, they’re offering free shipping and returns for online orders to accommodate during this crazy time! They have the cutest clothes, jewelry, and gifts! They carry beautiful art pieces handcrafted by local, Louisiana artists too!

Jessica McHugh Art – Michael’s sister is a super talented artist! We have three of her pieces hanging in our living room. You can shop her pieces online via The Keeping Room (a Baton Rouge based shop!). These little pieces would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift! You can also shoot her a DM on Instagram for custom pieces!

WREN Home – Currently offering 30% off sitewide! I have the medium lark butcher block cutting board and love it!

Mostess – My friend here in Houston owns Mostess. They send seasonally curated home decor and hosting items in one beautiful box (four times a year). Perfect for gifting or to treat yourself! They currently have a special set of curated boxes – the Homebound Boxes – that also give back to those in need during the Covid-19 crisis. They are donating $5 from each gift box purchased to Meals on Wheels America.

Jac Clothing – I LOVE shopping at this boutique. One of my family friends owns it. They always have the cutest clothing pieces, fun jewelry, and great gifts.

C&C Mercantile & Lighting – One of my dear friends runs C&C Mercantile & Lighting with her husband. They have unique pieces for your home, local coffee by Lyons Pride Coffee, original art by talented Louisiana artists, gifts, and pieces by Sweet Tee Shreveport!

The Pink Crawfish – A cute little shop owned by a friend of mine from Ole Miss with a brick and mortar location on Magazine Street in New Orleans. She’s offering 20% off sitewide and free shipping!

Whisk – One of my favorite sweet-treat bakeries is now offering a fun by-mail option PinPals – a sweet, treat-filled box sent directly to you or your friend’s doorstep! A great way to support a local bakery digitally!
