It’s supposed to be 80 degrees today in DC! Hallelujah! But even with the warmer daytime temps this time of year, it’s still pretty chilly in the mornings and evenings. Case and point – It’s in the 40s right now. Just a cool 40 degree temperature swing expected today. NBD.

That’s where today’s outfit comes into play. I love this look. Not only is the jacket paired over the sleeveless dress perfect for these crazy Springtime temperatures, I love the coupling of the feminine dress with the harshness of the leather jacket and booties. This dress was an on-a-whim find right before we left for Southeast Asia (see the story and other warm weather finds here). I’ve worn it multiple times since, and at just under $23, it’s worth the buy even to just throw on at the beach this summer. For sizing reference, I’m wearing a Small. It is a tad bit short so if you’re worried about that, size up.

And my go-to leather jacket makes another appearance! It’s just so great! Who doesn’t love the exuberant class that a leather jacket brings to your outfit? I wear it at least once a week, even now that the temps have started to rise. I think it might be made from nubuck leather, so I make sure I look after it! It’s great to throw on over a dress as I did here or to pair with a t-shirt and jeans for a more casual look.
