I’m so excited to share today’s review of the Vera Bradley ReActive Tote Bag with you!

One of my all-time favorite brands launched a sustainably sourced line of bags! If you were raised in the 90s (or if you were a mom around that time), Vera Bradley is likely a household name! It’s a brand that I loved growing up and have continued to love through my adult years. It makes me so incredibly happy to see Vera Bradley stepping into the eco-friendly space!

Vera Bradley ReActive

Before I get into my specific review of the Vera Bradley ReActive Tote Bag, a little background on the ReActive line as a whole. Did you know that every minute, more than one million plastic bottles are sold worldwide? And 91 percent of all plastic is never recycled. It takes 450 years for a single plastic bottle to degrade completely!

With this in mind, Vera Bradley decided to take a step towards reusing some of these plastic bottles to make their bags! Vera Bradley made the new ReActive line from recycled plastic bottles — sixteen bottles go into every yard of fabric. Not only are these bags eco-friendly, but because of the material, they’re lightweight, durable, and water resistant. Great for travel and everyday use!

ReActive Tote Bag

Today I’m sharing the ReActive Tote Bag (in Garden Picnic pattern). I used this bag as my carry-on bag on my trip to San Diego a few weeks back. I also used it as a tote for the day while exploring the city with one of my BFFs!

The ReActive Tote Bag is equipped with a pocket for virtually every essential (even a yoga mat)! 13 water bottles go into making every tote! It’s roomy, versatile, earth friendly, and super cut … what more could you ask for?!

A few features that I love … I love that the Tote Bag has both a shoulder strap and handles – easy to carry! There are multiple pockets on the outside of the bag – one zip pocket and two slip pockets. The interior features three slip pockets and one zip pocket. Last but not least, I love that the bag has a zip closure on top. Nothing falls out while traveling, running errands, or running to the gym!
