What a Crazy Week

This week was a weird one. I think we can all agree. On Monday, Tuesday, and even Wednesday, I was going about my normal routine. And then Wednesday afternoon and evening things seemed to hit the fan and escalate REAL quick. In the time span that Michael and I popped on and watched one episode of The Crown Wednesday night, an NBA game was abruptly stopped, the NBA suspended the season, Trump made a speech, which essentially banned foreign nations from traveling from certain European countries to the US for the next 30 days, and the NCAA announced there will be no fans in the stands at this year’s March Madness (and then cancelled the tournament altogether on Thursday).

While I’ve been washing my hands diligently and trying to avoid germy places, I haven’t really done much else in regards to Coronavirus prep. I’m planning on heading to CVS today for a few basic meds and a thermometer, just in case, and the grocery store for basics for the weekend as my weekly grocery run on Monday didn’t include food for the weekend since we usually eat out. We’ll likely limit the eating out this weekend just to avoid extra hands touching our food and extra germs from others. I don’t know … better safe than sorry?

While everything is kind of nuts, at this point I think we should all remain calm and take care of ourselves and think about others too. It’s not just about our health, it’s about our neighbors (literally and figuratively) health as well. And let’s stop hoarding supplies and groceries, k?

Let’s all be extra kind, wash our hands, and stop panic hoarding. We’ll all get through this together!

Ok, now onto regularly scheduled programming because as serious as Coronavirus is, I know you come to my channels as an escape and for inspiration, not medical advice. So here we go! Perhaps you can do a little online shopping, at-home workouts, non-toxic cleaning, and podcast listening while you’re at home this weekend! 🙂

Weekend Plans

This whole Coronavirus madness has made me want to forgo most of our weekend plans and have a relaxing and productive weekend at home. While I REALLY want to go to the Pat Green show at The Rustic, it’s likely not a good idea (I’m actually surprised they haven’t cancelled it). I’m thinking I’ll get a few to-dos done around our house – I got a new shelving unit in this week that I need to assemble, get ahead on work, and indulge in a few of our stock piled bottles of wine from our Portugal trip last year while catching up on our movie watch list!

My Favorite Things this Week

I purchased a few items last week and this week for spring – sharing the pieces I’m LOVING below!

Madewell Sandals // Madewell is offering 25% off your entire purchase! Madewell re-released one of my favorite pair of sandals in new colors! I have these sandals in two color already (one I wore to death over two summers so finally had to retire). I grabbed the black pair. They’re cute and REALLY comfortable!

Abercrombie Smocked Jumpsuit // Obsessed with this jumpsuit! It’s so comfy and cute and can be styled casually and dressed up too!

Abercrombie Leopard Print Skirts // These two skirts, this one and this one, are too cute! I love the styles of both. Can’t wait to style them for spring!

Have a nice weekend! Take a few deep breaths and get outdoors! 🙂
