Well, I’m writing this post from way up in the air, on my way to West Palm Beach! Michael turned the big 3-0 earlier this week so we’re heading to sunny Florida to celebrate! By the time you’re reading this, I’ll likely be laying on the beach with a cocktail in hand or at least that’s my hope!
This week started with a fresh spring look! I’m so ready for the warmer temps to stick around, although it doesn’t look like D.C. has that in store for quite some time …
If you follow along on Snapchat (username: cobaltchronicle), then you saw where I committed to the BBG workout program and started the torturous workouts on Monday. I have Monica to thank for pushing me over the edge to actually do it, and now we just need her to get on board too! 😉 I’m still having a hard time walking after doing leg day 4 days ago … It’s the real deal, but I’m hoping if I stick with it, things will get a little easier.
In this week’s Travel Tuesday post, I shared with y’all that I got a new version of my Away carry-on bag, and I shared what I was planning on packing for this weekend’s beach getaway. After packing up the new bag, I can attest to the fact that it definitely holds more than its smaller sister! I’ll have a full comparison of both bags up here soon (including reasons why you might want one over the other), so stay tuned!
Tuesday night I planned a little surprise happy hour for Michael’s birthday with a group of our friends. It was such a fun thing to do on a weeknight! (I think I just showed my age …) Afterwards, Michael and I tried out a newish restaurant in the Shaw neighborhood, Hazel. It was delicious!
On Wednesday I shared 10 must have pieces for spring – all under $100! I know I already own blush sneakers, but this Adidas pair is calling my name!
Short week this week, but I hope you have a wonderful (and hopefully warm!) weekend!
Ah I’ve always wanted to try BBG it just seems SO hard. Do you just do the workouts at your gym? I live in NYC so obviously don’t have space to do them in my apartment hahah. Have so much fun in Palm Beach!
I do most of them at the gym unless I’m in a pinch – Some of the workouts can be done at home, but most require a mix of a medicine ball, small weights, and a bench. I’m in the same boat, not only limited in space, but I don’t think my downstairs neighbors would appreciate me jumping around doing the exercises in my apartment! haha
I can’t wait to see your comparison of the two Away carry-ons. I’ve been eyeing them up for months!

The short of it, I’d recommend going with the larger carry-on unless you’re really wanting a carry-on for international travel, then go with the smaller one! I love them both – you can’t go wrong!
