Week In Review

Short weeks always seem to be the busiest!  I guess that makes sense since everything is crammed into fewer days, but boy am I ready for some extra sleep this weekend!  Let’s take a look back at the week, shall we?!

Monday

I spent half of my day on Monday at the beach in Punta Cana!  Michael and I took a late flight back to D.C. and didn’t get home until almost midnight.  It was totally worth it!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a catch up day as I had a ton on my plate from taking off on Friday and having the Monday holiday off.  I did manage to sneak in a manicure.  I picked out my first dark color of the fall/winter season.  I went with OPI’s Shh … It’s Top Secret!

Wednesday

I shared a full recap of our time in Punta Cana on Wednesday.  I also rounded up everything you might need to know while planning a trip of your own!

Wednesday night I had an amazing opportunity to speak on a panel with a few of my favorite DC bloggers at Marymount University.  Julien, Carla, Jenn and I spoke to the Marymount Fashion Club about blogging.  I had the best time chatting with the girls who were so motivated and eager to learn!

Thursday

Last night was another brutal night for DC sports fans.  I stayed up way too late to watch the Washington Nationals blow it, again.  Through my time living here in DC, I’ve learned about the DC sports playoff curse.  It’s so real.  The Nationals made a huge comeback late in the game, but it wasn’t enough.

Weekend Plans

As much as I love traveling, I’m excited to be home this weekend.  I’m heading to a going away party tonight for Roxanne, who is sadly moving to Chicago.  Tomorrow I’ll be hitting up SoulCycle followed by a full day of college football.

If you live in the DC area, you probably saw that the Wharf opened this week!  For those not in the area, the Wharf is a new waterfront development that includes 4 hotels, 20+ restaurants, and an ampitheater!  Michael and I are going to see Trombone Shorty (one of our favorites!) there on Sunday.

Other Happenings

It’s finally starting to feel like fall here!  I’ve been on the hunt for a couple of pairs of new boots and a few sweaters.  Here’s what’s topping my list at the moment!

I’m not sure I’m ready to commit to dark nail polish yet! I’m in denial that summer is over and for some reason I think wearing black nail polish will mean it is official fall.
