Fossil Bag c/o | White Linen Blazer (on sale, under $45!) | Black Tank c/o | Levi’s Jeans | Madewell Sandals | Quay Sunglasses

I can hardly believe it’s June 1st today!  The start of June has me excited for upcoming summer travels.  I’m heading to my college town, Oxford, MS, next weekend and the beach towards the end of the month.  Super excited for both trips!  Before getting too far ahead of myself, let’s take a look back at this week!

Monday

On Monday I was still living the three-day weekend life.  I took the day off from publishing a new blog post, worked on back end administrative tasks, and prepped Tuesday’s travel post, which was a long time coming!  I also started the BBG workout on Monday!  If you’re not familiar, you can read alllll about it here!  Essentially, it’s a 12-week circuit training program.

I closed out the holiday weekend grilling burgers at a friends house – the perfect way to kick off summer!

Tuesday

Like I said, Tuesday’s travel post has been a long time coming!  I finally hit publish on my Weekend Guide to DC, specifically designed for first-time visitors!  It includes almost the exact itinerary I’ve used a countless number of times when having friends and family in town.  Excited to finally share it!

I got back in the groove with SoulCycle after a long weekend off.  I hit up the evening class and got in a great post-work sweat session!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a look back at May plus a few goals on tap for the month of June!

I spent Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Virginia shooting with Mary on a fun collaboration with Marlo Furniture.  I’ll have a full blog post up next week along with a giveaway!  It’s a good one, so be sure to stay tuned!

Wednesday evening I checked out the patio at Calico in Blagden Alley here in DC.  It’s such a cool place!  I’d been before, but only in the winter months.  The patio is where it’s at!  If you’re in DC, I highly recommend checking it out on a nice day.

Thursday

Thursday morning started off at The Line Hotel for a breakfast with General Assembly.  It was a fun way to start the day!  There were lots of amazing DC creatives there and the General Assembly team shared more about their class offerings (they’re all around the country – be sure to check them out!).

Thursday evening Michael and I headed over to Ocean Prime for their new rosé happy hour, which didn’t disappoint!  Ocean Prime is hands down my favorite old-school, downtown DC steakhouse.  And their happy hour is on point!  If you’re looking for a classic downtown DC spot to check out, take a look at Ocean Prime!

Weekend Plans

If the weather holds off, Michael and I are thinking about heading to Union Market’s drive-in movie tonight – this weekend’s showing is Clueless!  This has been on my DC bucket list every summer, and I’ve yet to attend!  Fingers crossed for no rain this evening.

Another reason I’m hoping for no rain this weekend – Laura‘s #roséontheroof get together!  Along with rosé, I’ll be cheering on the Capitals in the Stanley Cup on Saturday!

Other than those few plans, I’ll be laying low and relaxing.  I hope you’ll be doing the same!

Favorite Things This Week

White Linen Blazer (on sale!) // This linen blazer (seen above) has been my go-to piece this spring!  It looks so cute with dresses and jeans.  I wore it on Thursday to the event I mentioned at The Line Hotel.  It makes me feel put together but still cool and relaxed – a perfect combo in my book!  It’s currently on sale for $45 (40% off!) so I thought I’d share the news in case you’re in the market!  For sizing reference, I have an XS.

Jovial Pasta & Pasta Sauce // Ok, this one is a little random, BUT I finally found a gluten free/sugar free pasta that’s actually delicious AND a pasta sauce that JUST has tomatoes in it (what a concept!)!  When Michael and I were in Italy and took a cooking class with a local chef there, she pointed out the fact that it’s very hard to find a tomato sauce in the US with no added chemicals, acids, or preservatives.  She’s right!  I’ve been on a mission since our trip, and I finally found one at Whole Foods.  To say I’m obsessed with the Jovial brand foods is an understatement.

Three Day Weekend // Was that everyones’ favorite thing about this past week?!  Three nights of 8+ hours of sleep can seriously do a body good!

Have a great weekend!
