Week In Review

Week In Review | Cobalt Chronicles | Washington, DC | Fashion Blogger

Major TGIF feels today, y’all!  The last couple of days have been doozies and I pretty much missed the amazing weather yesterday due to indoor commitments for the majority of the afternoon/evening.  I’m looking forward to getting outside this afternoon and soaking up all of the 80 degree sunshiny weather!

Before getting to the good stuff (the weekend!), let’s take a look back at the week!

Monday

On Monday I shared a Spring weekend outfit idea, which would be perfect to break out tomorrow!  I can legitimately tell you that I wear every piece of Monday’s look on the regular.  I live in my Levi’s Wedgie jeans, I wore the top this week, and I’m pretty sure I’ve worn my blush mules three out of four days this week.

Monday night I hit up SoulCycle and posted this SoulCycle related Instagram post later that night.  My friend Katie commented on the post with “Never miss a Monday!” – I love that saying!  Seriously, the best part of my Mondays is sweating it out at SoulCycle after work.  I know I’ve said it before, but it’s just a really great way to kick off the week!

Tuesday

I was really excited to share Tuesday’s #CobaltTravels post with y’all!  If you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve card OR if you’re interested in getting either (start accruing those Ultimate Rewards points for free travel!), definitely check out the post!  Be sure to read the comments too – there’s a good convo going on with Diana there!

Tuesday evening meant another Soul class for me!  I knew I had a full schedule on tap for Wednesday and Thursday so I was happy to squeeze in another class during the week!

Wednesday

I rounded up my picks from the killer Shopbop sale that’s still going strong!  It ends tomorrow so be sure to scoop up any pieces you’ve been eyeing!  I snagged these sandals and LOVE them!

Wednesday evening I attended an event hosted by my friend Molly of MABE Wellness.  The discussion centered around digestion and wellness.  It was so informative!  The discussion was full of nice reminders to always keep in mind when deciding what to eat and what to buy at the grocery store – always read the ingredients on packaged food and don’t buy/eat anything with ingredients that you can’t pronounce or with ingredients that aren’t real food.

Thursday

Thursday was a crazy day, and one that left me longing for Friday!  I had a lovely coffee date with Daniëlle before heading into my 9-5 for a bit.  I jetted out a little early because of a busy afternoon.  I had a touch of free time in the afternoon so I popped into the closest Starbucks to get some work done, which happened to be a Starbucks in a Safeway grocery store (didn’t realize it until Google Maps took me there).  Let’s just say that working out of a Safeway Starbucks isn’t exactly the same as the pleasure of working out of your neighborhood Starbucks.

I then headed to volunteer at Bright Beginnings – I was paired with the two-year-old class, and y’all, every time I volunteer there, I have a new appreciation for teachers!  The kids are hilarious, fun, and so sweet, but SO full of energy.  After finishing up there, I bounced over to WeWork for an event hosted by District Bliss, which focused on growing and sustaining a profitable creative business.  Such a great event – I left with a list of alllll the things to do!

Weekend Plans

I hope it’s going to be as warm where you are as it’s supposed to be here in D.C. this weekend!  It has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait to get out and enjoy the weather this weekend!  I’ll be working (with the windows open) most of the day on Saturday (all good things though – hate even calling it work) with plans to join friends who are lucky enough to have a nice deck at their apartment for sunset cocktails!  On Sunday, Laura and I are partnering with the Gaylord and Tanger Outlets for a fun day out at National Harbor!  Be sure to follow along on Instagram for all the fun (I’ll have a blog post coming on our experience too)!

Favorite Things This Week

Two of my favorite things this week should come as no surprise …

SoulCycle // SoulCycle topped my list this week for putting enough pep in my step early on in the week to get me through the last half of my crazy busy week.  I’m looking forward to a morning class tomorrow!  If you’re in D.C. and interested in trying out SoulCycle for the first time, shoot me an email ([email protected]).

Warm Weather // I’m totally one of those people that is affected by the weather.  But this time of year, I think all of D.C. feels the same way as me – ready to shake that cold-weather funk off and get outside to enjoy some warm sunshine!  Thankful for the warm weather arriving this week.

Cabi Dress // My mom sent me this new Cabi Shirtdress this week, and I am in love!  Thanks mom!  It will definitely be making the packing list for Italy – Michael and I are heading to the land of pasta and wine on Wednesday!  I also can’t wait to style it as a caftan with white jeans and a white tank!
