Week In Review

I’m so ready for the weekend! I didn’t have any in-person meetings, lunch dates, or coffee outings this week (although I’m planning on working from a coffee shop today), which was intentional, but also, I’m ready to get dressed and go out and actually interact with other humans.

I’m heading to DC on Tuesday for the week and then straight to Dallas for my cousin’s wedding weekend on Friday so I intentionally blocked off my calendar this week to really focus on getting ahead on blog work, wrapping up contract client work, and prepping for a workshop I’m hosting in DC while I’m in town! With all that said, today’s Week In Review is short and sweet! 🙂

Monday

On Monday I shared all the details on my wedding rings! Both my engagement ring and custom wedding band are from Shah & Shah, a local, bespoke jeweler in DC. I’m hosting an event at Shah & Shah in DC next week! All the details are below. It’s going to be a fun happy hour event! If you’re in the DC area, I’d love for you to stop by!

Cobalt Chronicles | Shah & Shah Event

I kept with my Monday tradition to #nevermissamonday and hit up an evening SoulCylce class, and I even got my friend Alex to join! It was her first SoulCycle class, and I’m pretty sure she’s hooked!

Tuesday

On Tuesday I shared 5 Easy Weeknight Recipes. Michael and I cook most Mondays-Thursdays. I’ve been trying out new recipes lately, and these 5 have become staples in our rotation!

I mentioned this on Instagram Stories, but I’m excited to get back into running. I took a lonnnng break after Michael and I ran the Rock n Roll half-marathon in March 2018. I went all in on SoulCycle last year and really didn’t do much else in the form of cardio. Running is always the exercise that I come back to. I squeezed in a 3-mile run on Tuesday, and although they were a slow 3 miles, it felt good to be running again.

Tuesday night I hopped on an Instagram Live session with my friend Kate Jones of Kate Waldo + Co. to share a bit about my Contracts for Creatives business. Kate and I are both hosting workshops at this year’s The Blog Societies Conference in Atlanta, which I’m so excited about!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a spring style look where all of the pieces are under $100! I’ve been wearing the lace-up sandals non-stop!

I got in a hot yoga sessions at YogaWorks Wednesday evening, which was the perfect way to get over the mid-week hump!

Thursday

After all day working from home on Thursday, I decided to try out a new-to-me SoulCycle studio and ventured over to the Memorial location. It’s a bit farther from my house, but they have better class times throughout the week. This is something I was definitely spoiled with in DC. There were three SoulCycle studios within a 1 mile, walking distance radius of my apartment.

Weekend Plans

We have minimal plans for the weekend as Michael is heading out of town for work on Monday and I’m following behind him on Tuesday to head to DC. We’ll be gone through next Sunday. I’ll likely lay low and get everything in order for my trip, for the most part. I’m sure we’ll sneak in dinner at a restaurant on our list! Trying to hit as many new-to-us spots on the weekends as possible!

Favorite Things This Week

Follain Body Glow Oil // I’ve shared this body oil on Instagram Stories, but I don’t think I’ve shared it here. It’s a new product from Follain (a clean beauty store I love!), and it has essentially replaced my body lotion! I love applying it after showering, especially to rough areas like my elbows and heels!

Beautycounter Cleansing Balm // Ok, I know I mention this product all the time, but hang with me. I ran out of my Beautycounter lip conditioner this week, and while I’m waiting on my new order to arrive, I used the Cleansing Balm as lip balm! I had read that it makes a great overnight mask for your lips so I decided to give it a whirl. It works fantastically as lip balm! The Cleansing Balm really has so many uses!

Jeffrey Campbell Black Slides // I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of black sandals for spring/summer. I got this pair in this week, and I love them! The quality is AMAZING, especially for the price ($65!). The leather is super soft, and I love the crossover straps and the box toe! They’re also available in white and a few fun spring colors!

Have a great weekend!
