Hush Puppies Mules @cobaltchronicle

Happy Friday!  Y’all, I’m not going to lie, Monday through Wednesday is a bit of a blur because last night (Thursday) blew every other day of this week out of the water, but we’ll get to Thursday’s recap soon enough …

On Monday I shared my crush on the color blush with y’all.  It’s definitely one of my favorite colors to incorporate into my somewhat neutral wardrobe.  It adds a soft pop of color, which I love!

Tuesday’s  travel post was a big hit!  Apparently everyone wants to know how to fly to the caribbean for $30, who would have thought?! 😉  If you missed it, be sure to check out the post so you can start racking up miles to treat yo’ self to a tropical vacation too!  Tuesday evening I met up with one of my friends before our Junior League meeting to grab a quick bite to eat and catch up.  She’s basically the cutest little pregnant lady that ever was!  To give you a little taste, she was rocking these adorable mustard mules.

On Wednesday I shared the perfect mule for spring (which I’m also sporting in the pic above!).  I’ve been wearing them non-stop since they’re both super cute AND comfy!  If you follow along with me on Instagram stories, you may have seen where I had quite an interesting workout on Wednesday evening.  My BBG workout for that day didn’t require any equipment, I got off work later than normal, and it was really warm outside so I decided to do my workout at home in the alley behind my apartment.  (city life = no yards, just alleys).  Also, the workout included skipping.  I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t about to skip around the gym.  When I got home I realized I was going to need some sort of mat to workout with (lots of ab exercises were involved), and unfortunately I don’t have a yoga mat (I promptly ordered one from Amazon) so I opted to use my back up bath mat instead … It got the job done.  🙂

Now for Thursday!  Last night I finally had the chance to try out Masseria when Hush Puppies invited me, along with a bunch of other bloggers, to a dinner showcasing their new spring collection.  The night was magical!  Masseria is such an incredibly beautiful space on its own, but the Hush Puppies team did an amazing job with the event decor and the tablescapes – it was gorgeous!  Not only was the ambiance perfect, everyone in attendance was sporting their favorite pair of Hush Puppies (obviously these are mine!).  I also love this pair and this pair for spring/summer!  The food at Masseria was to die for – I’ll definitely be back!

Ok, one last thing … Right as I, along with Monica and Laura, were about to walk outside to catch our Lyft, a man pushed by with an aggressive “Excuse me!” so I turned around, and no lie, Michelle Obama was inches away from my face!   I think I had an out of body experience.  My DC life was made.  🙂

Have a lovely weekend!

Things that are still making me smile: the fact that you worked out on a bath mat and the fact that we PRACTICALLY had dinner with MO and may as well have commuted home with her 🙂
