Week In Review – Colorado Bound!

Erin Condren Planner

Another week of cramming a week’s worth of work into a short work week.  I usually try not to travel two weekends in a row, but here we are!  Michael and I got back to D.C. from my family beach trip on Sunday evening and settled in for a few days before packing up again last night!  I’m sharing exactly where we’re heading below, but first let’s jump into this week’s week in review!

Monday

On Monday I shared my top ten favorite Amazon purchases!  Not kidding around when I say those ten items are my favorite, and likely some of the most used items in my house!  I use the Nespresso machine, sleep machine, Ninja, and Vital Proteins every single day.

And speaking of Amazon, I snagged two items from the Zon this week that I’m loving!  This oversized black denim jacket and this one-piece swimsuit (I’ve been on a hunt for a cute one-piece)!

I closed out Monday with a spin session at SoulCycle in Georgetown.

Tuesday

In lieu of this week’s Travel Tuesday post, I shared all the down and dirty details that you need to know for the upcoming Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!  Be sure to check back Monday as there will be a big Nordstrom gift card giveaway here on the blog!  And just for reference, throughout the sale I’ll be updating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale tab at the top of the screen with all of my picks and need-to-know info!

You’ll likely pick up on a theme that seemed to run through this week … work and SoulCycle.  And not much else.  🙂  I hit up the 14th Street studio for an early evening class on Tuesday!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a bit about my family’s annual trip to the beach in a post with Custom Ink!  You may have seen on my Instagram Stories that on Wednesday I legit thought it was Tuesday alllll day, until I left my house to head to SoulCycle at 6pm … one of those weeks y’all.

Thursday

Thursday was filled with wrapping up tasks for the week.  I finished up a few contract projects, shot some fun photos for an upcoming post, and did a lot of wedding related tasks!

I feel like I have so many wedding plans to fill you in on!  We officially signed a contract for the venue this week!  My mom and I are heading there in September to get a little feel for the space, the food, the vibe etc. before the wedding in January!  I’m going to start incorporating a few more wedding-related posts here on the blog to keep you in the loop!  And to share all of the tips and tricks I’ve learned from wedding planning so far!

Michael jumped on the SoulCycle bandwagon on Thursday evening … there was a live DJ at the 14th Street studio!  It was the perfect way to end the week before heading out of town!

Weekend Plans

As you’re reading this I’m likely heading west!  Michael and I are joining friends (two couples) out in Frisco, Colorado for a long weekend leading up to the 4th of July holiday.  I’m BEYOND excited for this trip and have been looking forward to it for quite sometime.  I’ve never been to Colorado during the warm weather months.  I’m so looking forward to relaxing for few days, cooler weather, and mountain air!

Favorite Things This Week

Ocean Club Resorts // Ok, this might seem a bit random, BUT I attended a DC Travel Bloggers meet-up a few weeks ago, and met some super nice folks from the Turks & Caicos!  They work at Ocean Club Resorts (where I’m actually planning a trip this fall!), and we’ve since kept in touch.  They’re running a big summer promo right now that I wanted to share with y’all!  You can check it out here!

Urban Decay Born to Run Palette // I’ve shared this eyeshadow palette on Instagram Stories a few times recently, and I seriously can’t get enough!  The colors are absolutely perfect for summertime.  There are really great neutrals plus some fun shades that aren’t too scary to experiment with and try out.

Blush Cardigan // This was one of my favorite things last week … it’s so good I had to include it again!  I wore it all week at my desk (aka my kitchen table), and I have it on again today traveling!  It’s perfectly lightweight, comes in two colors, and it’s only $25!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Have so much fun in Colorado this weekend, Ashley! And, omg, I totally know what you mean about not even knowing what day it is this week – I think that’s what vacations and work and summer do to you?! (That, and the whole working from home thing!)
