Happy Friday friends! And happy Juneteenth! If this holiday is new to you, it was to me – still learning a lot – I found this post helpful in breaking down the facts on why this is such an important day to recognize in our history.

I hope you had a nice week. Mine was pretty standard. A couple of highlights, I had an eye doctor appointment to up my prescription, which meant I ordered a new pair of Warby Parky glasses! I took a poll on IG Stories and went with the pair with the most votes – this pair! Excited to get them in! The fact that I’m pretty excited about this says a lot about the quarantine life I’m still living. HA Another highlight, one of my favorite OG bloggers, Grace Atwood, released a limited collection with Amazon this week. I snagged the long, green kaftan. A lot of the pieces are sold out, but there are a couple of cute pieces left to choose from! The pieces are only available for a few more hours. You can check them out here!

This Week’s Blog Posts

New to My Closet: Summer Staples, Workout Pieces, Self Care // I loved putting this post together for you! It’s a bit of a grab bag roundup of purchases I’ve made over the last few months from summer staples, workout pieces, and a few self care products!

15% OFF Beautycounter SALE Sitewide // Beautycounter’s 15% OFF Sitewide Sale + 30% OFF Holiday Items is still happening! The sale ends on Tuesday, so hop to it! If you’ve been on the fence about trying out Beautycoutner’s clean beauty products, NOW IS THE TIME! Take advantage of the sale.

In news unrelated to the sale, it was a pretty big week for Beautycounter! I’m a consultant for the brand, and this week alone made me so proud to be a part of such an amazing company. The BIG news, we’re going to be Sephora’s FIRST EVER brand pop up! For a limited time, starting in July, eleven of Beautycounter’s products will be available for purchase on sephora.com and the products will be in-store in August. This pop up goes through October. I’m super excited about this mainly for two reasons: 1) With Sephora being the premiere leader in the beauty space, this partnership really adds legitimacy to the Beautycounter brand as the leaders in clean beauty. The fact that Sephora reached out to Beautycounter to be its first ever brand pop up is very exciting! 2) Sephora has a customer reach of about 25x that of Beautycounter. The reason this excites me is that the Beautycounter brand and mission (to get clean beauty products in the hands of every person), a brand that I 100% believe in, is going to be introduced to so many more people!

It’s a great time to get in on Beautycounter! You can shop the sale here, check out my roundup of favorite products here, AND if you’ve ever considered becoming a consultant, NOW IS THE TIME! Through the end of June, it’s only $50 to sign up (usually $98). No other purchases are required! As a consultant, you receive 25% off all personal purchases and up to 35% commission on all sales. Sound interesting? Shoot me an email (no pressure attached) – I’m an open book – [email protected]

Weekly Workouts

This week’s workouts …

This week, Michael and I did Orangetheory workouts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Orangetheory is still offering daily workouts on YouTube for free. Michael and I have been doing Orangetheory almost every weekday since quarantine began back in March. We finish each workout with a quick run around the block!

While I’m kind of getting in a rut with Orangetheory after 3 consecutive months of doing their at-home workouts, I appreciate the fact that they’re continuing to release new workouts every day for free!

I’m planning on getting in a long walk today and over the weekend too!

Weekend Plans

I mentioned this last week, but Houston has pretty much re-opened. I believe restaurants and bars can be at 75% capacity. With that said, Texas as continued to be one of three states with record numbers of Covid-19 cases over the past couple of weeks. Not cool. With that said, I’ll be staying home for the most part.

I’ve actually come to enjoy our weekend dinners at home. I picked up ingredients for homemade pizza tonight, and we’re planning on grilling kebabs on Saturday evening. Even though we’ll be hanging at home for most of the weekend, I’m planning on going out to the golf course with Michael for a round on Saturday. When it’s nice out, I like riding in the cart for 18. 🙂

My Favorite Things this Week

A few of my favorite things this week …

Straw Visor // What a find! A girlfriend of mine (hey MC!) recommended this visor and once I got it in, I made all of my friends and family buy it too. ha It’s really cute, the quality is amazing, and it’s only $24! Perfect for the pool or beach!

Beautycounter Brightening Facial Oil // I just got a fresh bottle of my favorite facial oil. It is so silky smooth and makes me so happy. I apply it at night after cleansing my face. It oddly has a relaxing effect on me because it feels so nice! It’s included in the sale. Check it out here!

cabi Derby Dress // Including this dress again this week! I wore it on Friday, and goodness it’s good! I love the bold print and the flutter hem and sleeves! For sizing reference, I have a XS and there’s plenty of room.
