THIS WEEK’S BLOG POSTS

Stella & Dot’s Crush It Backpack, a Versatile Travel Bag // I’m not kidding when I say that I’ve used this bag non-stop since getting it a few weeks ago! It’s so versatile! It’s perfect for the gym, running errands, traveling, essentially everything! You need this bag in your life! It has already sold out twice, but it’s currently in stock! Scoop one up while you can!

UPDATED: What Credit Cards Are In My Wallet? // I shared an updated post on what credit cards are currently in my wallet and what I use the cards for as related to earning points and miles for free travel! Credit card points and miles are how Michael and I are able to travel so much for close-to-free! Check out the cards and consider applying for one if you’re looking to optimize your spend to earn points and miles!

Everlane TREAD Sneaker Review // I’m in love with these sneakers! In this week’s post I’m sharing a full review of the fit, comfort, and more. Everlane just released three new colors in the sneaker yesterday! They’re now available in 10 colors! Size up an entire size. Also, did you notice the backpack made another appearance in this post?! I’m telling you, I can’t quit it!

WORKOUTS

I traveled to Shreveport mid-week this week, which isn’t an excuse, but it’s why my workouts are slacking this week. Also, I’ve been working out in the mornings at Michael’s gym as a guest. It’s a long story, but essentially they told me that since I don’t work in the building (it’s an office gym) that I’m not allowed to come back. Ha! Soooo I’m on the hunt for a new gym.

  • Monday: Morning gym weight circuit
  • Tuesday: 3 mile run

  • Thursday: None
  • Friday: Planning on getting a run in this morning

PODCASTS

I’ve mentioned this before, but since I work from home by myself most days, I like to have a podcast on in the background. As a result, I listen to a lot of podcasts throughout the week. Most are business related, but some are just for fun. Here’s what I listened to this week!

Things to Note

FREE Mineral Sunscreen // I’m offering a FREE mineral sunscreen stick from Beautycounter this month only! That’s how serious I am about YOU switching to mineral sunscreen! Sign up for my email list to get all the details! And if you’re already on my email list, check the Life Update email that I sent yesterday for all the details!

Donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital // The reason I went to Shreveport this week was to take part in and cover the Floor Signing event at the KTBS3/St. Jude Dream Home. The Dream Home Giveaway is an annual fundraiser where you can purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win the house! The drawing is happening in August! If you’re not local to the Shreveport area, check out other St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway locations here! You don’t have to actually live in the areas to participate. The proceeds from every raffle ticket purchased go straight to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help fund continued research to find a cure for all childhood cancers.

WEEKEND PLANS

Michael and I were out of town last weekend and I spent most of this week in Shreveport. I’m back in Houston for the weekend. Excited for a low-key weekend to catch up on sleep and get a few things done around our house. We’re heading to the Houston Zoo on Saturday for a work party for Michael’s office and likely trying out a new-to-us restaurant for dinner that night – UB Preserve.

FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK

Clear Bag (Amazon find!) // The quality of this bag is so much better than I expected! It’s an Amazon find – under $25! – so I thought it might look cheap or super plastic-y. But it doesn’t at all! The inside bag is removable and even has several interior pockets, which I love. It’s available in a few different colors, but I really love this one (which they call apricot, I’m not sure why, it’s more of a nude/camel).

Stella & Dot Crush It Backpack // I know I’m beating a dead horse here, but I promise you will not be disappointed with this backpack! It has become my gym/work/everyday/travel bag in just a few short weeks!

Beautycounter’s Overnight Resurfacing Peel // I use this product 3-4 times a week on the regular. With all of my recent travels, it has been working overtime. The Resurfacing Peel is a serum-like product that you apply at night after cleansing your face, before applying moisturizer. It helps to remove dead skin cells and even out skin tone.

Have a great weekend!
