Well this week was an interesting one … We welcomed the first day of spring and then had the biggest snowfall all winter here in D.C.!  Who else is ready for sunshine and warm weather?!  Let’s dive into today’s week in review and cross our fingers for a warmer one ahead!

Monday

On Monday I shared a fun post to help you get ready for festival season!  I really enjoyed thinking back on all of the festivals I used to attend (I can’t hang with some of them anymore #grandma).  It got me excited for a few low-key beer festivals and music shows coming up this spring and summer!

Monday night was SoulCycle night.  I love getting a ride in after work on Mondays.  I usually try not to commit myself to any social activities (happy hours, dinners, networking events) on Monday nights so that I can start the week off on a high note workout wise.  It helps to set the tone for my week!

Tuesday

You may have noticed that there wasn’t a new #CobaltTravels post this week.  I had a couple of big projects related to my contracts business that I needed to wrap up, so the travel post took a back seat.  I did post this travel related photo on Instagram, and I received a few direct messages asking if I had any recommendations on what credit card(s) to use to accumulate points and miles.  If you’re wondering the same thing, check out these three posts: here, here and here.  And you can ALWAYS click on the TRAVEL tab at the top of the homepage to access every single travel-related blog post.

Wednesday

In Wednesday’s blog post, I shared three tips on how to balance a side hustle with a 9-to-5 job.  If you have a side hustle, you know having enough time to do both is challenging!

Wednesday was the big snow day so I spent the day working from home and peering out the window at the whiteness all around!  It was also my Mom’s birthday!  We’ll be celebrating with a girls’ trip to NYC in a couple of months – it was a big birthday so there’s lots of celebrating to be done!  In honor of her birthday, here’s a throwback post where she made a guest appearance on the blog!

Thursday

Thursday night I joined my friend Molly at a little networking event hosted by #SheSaysDC and Chief where we listened to a panel of female entrepreneurs.  I left feeling super inspired!

Weekend Plans

I usually try to keep my weekends pretty open, but that just didn’t happen this go around!  Saturday morning I’ll be venturing out super early with Laura to head to the Nordstrom Spring Beauty Trends show at Pentagon City Mall – be sure to follow along on Instagram Stories – it’s basically like a fashion show – super energetic and a wild atmosphere for that early on Saturday!

The March for Our Lives is happening this weekend in D.C. and around the country.  I’m planning on heading downtown for a bit to take part in the march here in D.C.

And Saturday night Michael and I have a wedding to attend here in the district!  It should be a fun one!

Lastly, I’ll be heading to Ocean Prime on Sunday for a cooking class (all the sushi!) with Executive Chef Jason Shelley!  Michael is coming along too.  It should be a fun experience!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  And as always, thanks SO much for stopping by!
