Happy Friday and Happy October! I mentioned in this post from earlier this week that October is arguably my favorite month of the year. It’s been cooler this week in Houston, which has been such a welcomed change. After being in Baton Rouge last Thursday – Sunday, it was nice to have a full week at home. As much as I love being away, I love a good weekday routine. I was able to get a lot of work off my plate and was also able to dive into holiday content planning – I’m so excited for the holiday season this year!

Weekly Workouts
This week’s workouts …
Michael and I did a 30-minute strength training class via the Peloton app on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And today (Friday) we’re doing a yoga class via the app!
I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but I convinced Michael to play tennis with me. We bought a couple of inexpensive rackets from Dick’s and played (hit) for the first time a few weeks ago. We’re planning on hitting again this weekend! Tennis is a sport that we’ve both loosely played since we were younger, and it’s something I’ve been wanting to get back into. I’m excited to be picking it back up!

Weekend Plans
I’m SO excited about dinner tonight … We’ve been wanting to try out Uchi since we moved to Houston. We finally snagged a reservation on their patio for this evening. Even though I’ll be a bit limited in what sushi I can eat, they have a huge vegetarian menu, and I’m sure they’re used to accommodating all types of food restrictions. I’m looking forward to a fun date night!
SEC football is back in full swing, praise be! So that’s what we’ll be doing most of the day on Saturday. With the cooler weather, we may even grill out.

Amazon Mockneck Sweater // Seen wearing here and here. I’m definitely grabbing this sweater in a second color! It’s so good. The quality is equivalent to a piece you’d find at Nordstrom. One tip when shopping for clothes on Amazon … look for pieces by Amazon’s own brands like Goodthreads and The Drop. I’ve never been disappointed in the quality of pieces these brands put out. I recommend sizing up one size in this sweater. I have a medium.
Amazon Popcorn Sweater // Seen wearing here. Another good one! I have the apricot color, which is actually just cream. This one is lighter weight, perfect for fall! I recommend going with your true size. I have a size small and it’s long enough to wear with leggings and looks super cute with jeans too!
Amazon Check Sweater // Seen wearing here. I also have this sweater in apricot – again, it’s cream. I’m not sure what kind of apricots the Amazon folks have been eating … It’s lightweight, but super soft and cozy. Definitely stay true to size in this one, maybe even size down one size, as it runs oversized. I went with a small and sill had to roll the sleeves. But I like how it fits throughout.
Golden Thread Bracelets // Seen wearing here. I added a few new bracelets to my stack this week thanks to Golden Thread, a local, woman-owned Houston brand! I have these two clay bead bracelets (black and white) and these two tile bracelets (LOVE and Three Hearts). The clay bracelets are only $10 and the tile bracelets are $28!
