Week In Review – San Francisco Edition

Happy Friday! Michael and I have been in San Francisco all week for work. I kind of tagged along on Michael’s work trip but ended up setting up a few meetings myself, met up with friends for dinner, and worked at different coffee shops around the city. It has been a fun week, but I’m not going to lie, I’m exhausted. The West Coast time change is hard to shake and definitely caught up with me midway through the week.

Let’s jump into this week’s week in review!

Monday

On Monday I shared tips on how to style Everlane’s wide leg chino pants. I love these pants, and can’t wait to wear them throughout the springtime. The wide leg makes them the perfect alternative to skinny jeans with the warmer temps approaching!

Michael and I flew from Houston to San Francisco early Monday morning. I spent most of my day working from a coffee shop and ended the day with a SoulCycle ride with Phoebe, one of my DC friends that now lives in SF. Michael and I met one of my law school bffs for a casual dinner at Sababa before calling it a night.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I shared 5 clean makeup product must haves for spring! If you’re looking for an easy way to incorporate a few new springtime makeup products into your lineup, the Flawless in Five set is awesome! I recently ordered it myself (planning on sharing the products on Insta Stories over the weekend). You can customize the products and shades. It’s a great deal and a great way to swap out some of your makeup for cleaner, safer, makeup!

I had a fun meeting with one of my favorite brands in SF on Tuesday morning, a great way to start the day! I worked at Stable, a cool cafe in the Mission district, for most of the day. Tuesday evening I met Phoebe again to check out the new flagship Rent the Runway store. The store is AMAZING! It’s a two-story store that’s filled with in-stock clothing, jewelry, and bags – all available to rent! If you’re in SF, definitely check it out!

To cap off the night, Michael and I met a few of our best friends for dinner at Bellota. Bellota is in the lobby of the Airbnb corporate building – I definitely stalked their cafeteria and main lobby. 🙂

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared a fun springtime outfit plus my tips on settling into a new city! With my recent move to Texas, I’ve now lived in 5 states! Check out the post to see which ones!

The different time zone definitely caught up with me on Wednesday. I was feeling tirrrred all day long. I did get to squeeze in a coffee date with another DC friend that now lives in SF, Kara. It was fun to catch up and hear what she’s up to these days!

Michael and I ventured out to Oakland for dinner at one of his co-worker’s houses Wednesday evening. I can officially check Oakland off of my cities visited list!

Thursday

All week (with the exception of Monday), I worked out with Michael at the 24 Hour Fitness down the street from our hotel. Thursday’s workout was hard – I think it was a combination of a hard/different workout three days in a row and the exhaustion from jet lag. I’m feeling sore from all of the weight lifting (not something I normally do), but in a really good way!

After a fun and productive few days in San Francisco, we flew back to Houston Thursday afternoon.

Weekend Plans

My mom and sister were planning on visiting Houston this weekend and staying with Michael and I. But unfortunately, it’s supposed to be storming and raining all weekend long. Since they were planning on driving from Shreveport, we decided to postpone their visit to a better weekend. All of the plans we had made for the weekend really did lend themselves to having nice weather – morning walks to grab coffee, outside wine bars, shooting photos for a Mother’s Day blog post, etc. Since those plans fell through, I’ll likely be laying low this weekend after such a busy week. I’m excited to catch up on sleep and get ready for the week ahead!

Favorite Things This Week

Everlane 100% Human Tee // Anytime I’m in a city with an actual Everlane store, I have to stop in! I picked up this 100% Human tee. I’ve been wanting a piece from their 100% Human collection. This one is incredibly soft and I love the boxy cut! For each 100% Human product sold, Everlane donates $5 towards the ACLU!

Everlane Shorts // I have a hard time finding shorts that I like. Since moving to Houston, I’ve quickly realized that I need to invest in shorts for the upcoming spring/summer months. I found two pairs at Everlane that fit so well and are so flattering (the perfect rise and perfect length!). I picked up this pair in black (size 4) and will be ordering this pair in either navy or bone soon (also in size 4)!

Have a great weekend!
