Happy Friday! Thank goodness we have a couple of days coming up to relax, right?! This week was a busy one, but in a totally good way. I feel like it deserves a little recap – even here on Cobalt Chronicles, there has been a lot going on!
On Monday I shared a look from the 4th of July weekend and shared my love for Everlane (I just snagged this white poplin dress – perfect for this July and August heat!). I think the highlight of my day was actually making it to the gym – some weeks that’s a real challenge!
In this week’s Travel Tuesdays post, I shared a recap of Michael and I’s trip to Maine! It had me wanting to be back in that cool air on the coast. I was supposed to shoot a few new pieces that I got in from Lucy Activewear on Tuesday evening, but life happens, so I went for a walk and picked up Glen’s (my fave!) for a low key dinner at home. Speaking of nights at home, Michael and I have been hooked on Silicon Valley lately! Do y’all watch?! It is hilarious, and I like to think that it’s spot on with the start-up culture in California. Ha
Wednesday I shared all the details you need to know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Early access is going on through Thursday and the sale officially opens up to everyone next Friday! The new year for Junior League officially kicked off for me on Wednesday night. If you’re curious, I’m involved with Bright Beginnings through the Junior League – it’s such an amazing organization! Definitely let me know if you’re interested in hearing more about BB! 🙂
And lastly, yesterday officially kicked off the best sale of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I scoured through all the sales and shared my initial, favorite picks yesterday! I’ll be sharing what I purchased and reviews of all of the pieces (fit, quality, etc.) next week! I’ll be updating my favorites from the sale over the weekend and the next couple of weeks so stay tuned! After all of the sale hoopla yesterday, I met a few of my DC blogger gals to celebrate Monica‘s birthday with sangria and guac at Mission, which was a perfect way to cap off the week!
I’ll be throwing on the outfit pictured above tomorrow to head off to Harper’s Ferry for a little tube float down the Shenandoah River – I’m going to attempt to Snapchat the trip so be sure to follow along! (username: cobaltchronicle) I’ll be sure to let y’all know how it goes. 😉
