Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas!

I can hardly believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I’m looking forward to a short work week and spending time with family and friends. We typically switch off where we spend our Thanksgiving holiday between Shreveport, where I’m from, and Baton Rouge, where Michael’s parents live. This year, we’re heading to Baton Rouge. The timing works out nicely because LSU has a home game that same weekend that we’ll be able to attend while we’re in town. The LSU games are always a fun time!

While you’re prepping for your upcoming Thanksgiving Day plans, I wanted to share a few outfit ideas for what to wear for Thanksgiving! I typically fall somewhere between outfit idea number one and two depending on our plans.

Four Thanksgiving outfit ideas for what to wear on Thanksgiving Day.

Outfit 1

Before babies entered the picture, my side of the family spent Thanksgiving Day at Cowboys stadium every year. America’s team traditionally plays the late afternoon game on Thanksgiving. I love this casual but fun outfit idea. On theme, stylish, and comfy. I own these jeans (I size down one size in all Madewell jeans), and I wear my pink Samaba sneakers almost daily at this point. They’re the best (and run TTS).

This is likely the look I’ll go with this year. I own these jeans and a similar sweater and boots (the featured boots are on MAJOR sale! I’m eyeing them … ). Again, I always size down one size in Madewell denim.

How fun is this outfit idea?! I’m in love with these festive bow heels! They’re not only great for a dressier Thanksgiving Day outfit, they’ll be perfect for all the upcoming holiday festivities too! On the leather pant front, I purchased a pair last year and wore them so much more than I thought I would. A great pant to have in your closet!

An easy way to feel dressed up and still be comfortable … a sweater dress. I love a sweater dress paired with knee high boots. I have the featured pair and LOVE them. They’re even better in real life. They run TTS. (Check out others ways to style them here.)
