Week In Review

Week In Review | Bluestone Lane | Cobalt Chronicles | Washington DC | Style Blogger

Hallelujah, it’s Friday!  I don’t know about you, but I’m so looking forward to an extra few hours of sleep tomorrow morning.  Just a quick shoutout to the photo above – I stopped in the new-to-the-district coffee shop, Bluestone Lane, this week, and it is amazing!  I’ve been to one in NYC, but the new location here in D.C. is awesome.  It’s super spacious, decorated impeccably, and it’s connected to a public library!  If you find yourself in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, definitely make a point to stop by!

Let’s jump right into the week!

Monday

On Monday I shared a little recap of my how I did at meeting my January goals, and I shared which ones I’ll still be focusing on this month too!  If you enjoyed the look in Monday’s post, it was also featured over on cabi’s blog this week!

I ended my day at SoulCycle with a ride in Pauline’s class (one of my favorites!).  I posted a pic of my workout gear that day, which happened to be a mix and match set from Outdoor Voices, one of my new favorite places to shop for workout gear!

I love their 7/8 leggings (I wear size M, but could do S too) and their cropped tops (I wear an XS in most)!

Tuesday

In this week’s #CobaltTravels post, I answered one of the most asked questions that I receive when talking about opening credit cards as a way to earn points and miles for travel.  It’s a huge misconception that opening credit cards hurts your credit score.  Check out the post and let me know if you have any questions!

I recently started partnering with cardratings.com, so you’ll notice that when I chat about my favorite credit cards for travel, all of which I had before I started working with the company, most of my links take you to a comparison page where you can compare all of the best credit cards for travel.  If you’re considering signing up for a new credit card, I’d so appreciate you signing up through one of my links!  It doesn’t affect you at all – it’s just like signing up any other way – it just helps me to grow this little blog and support the companies that support me!  If you have any questions at all about a particular credit card you’re looking to sign up for, just let me know!

Wednesday

Wednesday’s post definitely had me feeling ready for springtime and warmer weather!  The look is one of my favorites as of late.  The gorgeous bag I featured in the post is still 25% off (plus free shipping!) with code XOXO!

I ended the day with another one of Pauline’s SoulCycle classes, and did an impromptu giveaway on Instagram Stories!  The giveaway was so much fun!  I’ll definitely be doing more of those so be sure to follow along on Stories so you don’t miss out!

Thursday

Michael was traveling for work this week and making me super jealous all day on Thursday of the warm temps in Phoenix. Next winter, I’m definitely planning a warm weather getaway!  Arizona is on my 2018 travel bucket list so I’m due for a trip there!

I capped off Thursday with yet another Soul class.  I was really on it this week!  And kind of proud of myself because I forwent a happy hour networking event to make it to class since I already knew I’d be indulging this weekend with friends!

Weekend Plans

Tonight we’re finally making a dinner date happen with Heather and her fiancé, Adam!  We’ve been trying to get this on the books for a while!  I’m excited to venture out of our neighborhood to a new restaurant in NOMA!

It looks like it might be a washout this weekend here in D.C., but Michael and I are planning on squeezing in our 8-mile run for half-marathon training on Saturday morning before the rain rolls in.  We have friends in town from New Orleans so we’re grabbing dinner on Saturday night with them and perhaps hitting up a Capitals game on Sunday!

Other Happenings

Stay tuned into my Instagram on Monday for a REALLY fun giveaway – hint, diamonds are involved!  I’ll be posting the photo Monday night and the giveaway will run all week long!  I’ll be sure to remind you to check it out here on the blog as well!

Have a great weekend!
