I’m heading to West Palm Beach this weekend to celebrate Michael’s birthday, and I think it’s safe to say, we’re both super excited for 80 degree weather, the beach, and piña coladas!

If you’ve been around here for a hot minute, you know that I only travel with a carry-on bag, always.  You also probably know that my Away carry-on bag is my constant travel companion (see my original review here).  I’ve mentioned it before, but Away recently came out with a larger version of its carry-on bag.  It’s still carry-on size, just a little bit bigger than the original.  The original version fits plenty, but I’m not going to pass up the opportunity to sneak one more pair of shoes in my bag if I have the option!  I recently received the larger version from Away, and West Palm will be its maiden voyage!

Packing in only a carry-on for the beach isn’t too difficult.  Really, what more do you need than a few swimsuits and a couple of sun dresses?!  We’ll be in West Palm for four days and three nights.  My packing strategy goes something like this: travel outfit, four day outfits, three night outfits, and maybe an extra top or two if there’s extra room (options, ya know?!).  For a beach weekend, my day outfits consist of swimsuits and cover-ups that can easily go from beach to beach bar to sandwich shop.  And my night outfits consist of rotating a pair of white jeans with a couple of different tops and one or two sun dresses.
