As the last weekend in August, which counts as the last weekend of summer in my book, approaches, I thought it would be fitting to take a look back at my travels so far in 2017 + a glance ahead to trips that I still have planned for the year.  You may remember this post from way back in January where I shared my 2017 Travel Bucket List.  I’ve checked a few places off the list and have a few trips planned to places that weren’t originally on the list!

Where I’ve Been

I had a pretty light start to the year travel wise in January and February.  I hit the slopes for a quick ski weekend in Snowshoe, West Virginia, had a girl’s weekend in Memphis with my college BFFs, and made a trip home to Shreveport for Mardi Gras.

In March, Michael and I headed to West Palm Beach for his birthday.  And then we stayed put in D.C. until we headed to London, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, and Amsterdam in May.

We usually take one beach trip with Michael’s family and one beach trip with my family during the summer months. This year we hit up Navarre Beach and Destin, both in Florida.

And last but not least, I checked off another New England town when I visited Newport, Rhode Island earlier this summer!

Where I’m Heading

With only four months left in 2017 (how is that possible?!), I still have a few fun trips booked this year!  I’ll be checking Boston off of my Travel Bucket List over Labor Day weekend.

Michael and I are heading to Mobile, Alabama twice this fall for weddings – I’m really excited for both!  I feel like we haven’t had any friends get married since last year; I’m in need of good wedding band music and wedding cake!

In October we’re making a trip down to Punta Cana thanks to the Southwest Companion Pass plus an awesome deal at a Westin property on the island!  I’m super stoked for this trip!  Shoutout to Katie for getting me even MORE excited (how amazing are her photos?!)!

I’ll be making a quick trip to NYC either this fall or right before Christmas time.  I can’t pass up New York during those months!

Over the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas), I’ll be making my rounds to Dallas, Shreveport, and Baton Rouge.

And Michael and I will be closing out the year in St. Croix celebrating our friends’ wedding!
