I’ve shared my morning skincare routine in the past, but I thought it was time for an update! Since Weldon was born, I’ve simplified my skincare routine while returning to a few products that I had cut out during my pregnancy and nursing stages of mom-hood.
My current routine is simple, efficient, and includes all clean products!
My Current 3 Step Morning Skincare Routine
Spoiler alert, I don’t wash my face with cleanser in the morning. I splash with water and pat dry with a towel.
First up, I use my beloved Indie Lee Toner. This product does wonders for my skin and for my mental state first thing in the morning! A few spritzes go a long way! The toner sets the stage for the next skincare products. Toner helps to allow your skin to absorb other skincare products more effectively.
Next up, I use Beautycounter’s All Bright C Serum. If you haven’t added in a vitamin C serum to your skincare routine, now is the time to do it! I’ve tried a number of clean vitamin C serums, and I always go back to Beautycounter’s. It’s a bit more expensive than some other clean brands’ serum, but it’s worth the price. The consistency is a bit thicker than other vitamin c serums on the market. Vitamin C serum helps to even out skin tone and generally brighten skin.
Last, I apply a nice amount of lightweight moisturizer. I love Beautycounter’s Countertime Antioxidant Soft Cream. It’s lightweight but still very hydrating. The Countertime line is Beautycounter’s anti-aging line. It has plant-based retinol alternative, Bakuchiol in it to help combat fine lines and wrinkles. It’s not greasy at all. I’m able to easily apply my makeup after allowing the moisturizer to sit for a few minutes.
