FriYAY! I know it’s tough to distinguish between weekdays and weekends these days, but I really do find myself looking forward to Friday. By Friday I’m really ready to disconnect for a few days. Michael and I have also been saving alcohol for only Friday and Saturday, which we do during non-quarantine times also, but it’s been an exciting thing to look forward to on Fridays! 🙂 I’m excited about a spicy margarita tonight!

This Week’s Blog Posts

Quarantine Kitchen Essentials // Like everyone else, I’ve been cooking up a storm the past month+ since we’ve been home. In this post I shared my kitchen stand outs!

10 Best Shows to Binge // Another thing we’ve been doing more of … watching TV! Mainly as a result of Michael not traveling for work, we have more nights together at home to dive into shows. I shared 10 of my favorites to binge!

5 Minute Clean Makeup Routine! // I filmed a quick and easy, clean makeup routine this week. For me, putting on makeup most days during the week helps to set the mood for work, even though I’m not going anywhere. I linked all of the products I use in the post.

Weekly Workouts

This week’s workouts …

Since we’ve moved to strictly at-home workouts, I’ve been sharing my workouts daily on Instagram Stories. I saved them all to a highlight on my Instagram page if you need some inspiration! Most are short 30 minute workouts, easy to squeeze in!

This week, Michael and I did Orangetheory workouts Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. They’re free and viewable on YouTube!

I went on a 3 mile run on Wednesday. The weather in Houston this week has been amazing! Super thankful for the sunshine!

Today (Friday), Michael and I are streaming a yoga class from the studio we attend here in Houston, Yoga Works. You can check out the schedule here: https://www.yogaworks.com/classes/live/

We’ve also been taking numerous short walks around our neighborhood during the day to break up the days. And we’ve been adding in long walks over the weekend – usually at least one 1-hour walk.

Podcast Recs

I had the pleasure of actually being ON a podcast this week! My good friend, Diana, started a podcast a few weeks ago, The Good Millennial, and I had the pleasure of being a guest. You can check out the episode here: WFH + Legal Bits ? w/Ashlee Hightower

Here’s what I listened to this week! I’ve been listening to less podcasts than I normally do as I opt to have music on more frequently while working.

Bad on Paper Podcast: Bad on Politics #6: Stacey Abrams on Voting Rights

Berning in Hell: Matthew Broussard: Handsome Autism & Long Distance Love

Be There in Five: Watch What Happens Five (with @lucyontheground’s Lucy O’Connor)

How I Built This: Sweetgreen: Nicolas Jammet and Jonathan Neman

Slow Your Scroll: Influencer Generation Gaps and Hitting the Mute Button with Kathleen Barnes

Of Note!

Territory Food Delivery // I don’t know why I just thought to place a Territory order this week, but it was a GOD SEND! Territory meals are prepared locally and delivered straight to your doorstep! They’re healthy and already cooked, all you have to do is warm them up! We had Territory meals for dinner three nights this week! It was so nice not having to cook or clean up afterwards! Weekend Plans

Our neighbor is quarantining in another state, so she kindly let us borrow her grill while we’re at home. I realized Revival Market (in our neighborhood) is open for phone orders and pickup. Michael and I are planning on picking up some fancy steaks to grill this weekend!

I also saw that our local garden shop is taking online orders and offering contact-less pickup, so I might put in an order for herbs to replant our herb garden from last spring!

My Favorite Things this Week

A few of my favorite things this week …

Amazon Sports Bra // Seen here! I already have and love this sports bra in black. I decided to grab another color this week, and I love it! The quality is really great, and it’s a fraction of the price of a very similar Lululemon bra! For sizing reference, I wear a size small.

Nike Sneakers // My Nike’s are on major sale! Under $90. I wear these sneakers every single day. They’re great for HIIT workouts, running, and long walks. I sized up one whole size from my usual shoe size.

Sending all the good vibes your way this weekend!
