The second month of 2020 is almost coming to an end! I’m not one to wish away time, but I’m definitely over winter temps and grey skies. I’m looking forward to March and the (fingers crossed) springtime weather ahead!

Let’s take a look back at February and chat about the blog posts you loved, the items you clicked on the most, and more! If you’re interested in past Monthly Recaps, you can check them out here!

Travel

I mentioned in last month’s recap that I was so ecstatic to be staying put in Houston for most of February. I only traveled one weekend this month! And it was a trip home to Shreveport, Louisiana for Mardi Gras! I had the best time hanging with friends and family and partaking in a little Mardi Gras fun!

March looks to be pretty similar on the travel front with only one trip planned. Another Louisiana trip – to New Orleans!

Wellness

Wellness is always something I’m working on and these posts are an easy way to not only keep myself accountable, but hopefully a place to share a bit of inspiration and a dose of reality as well.

I hit my 200th SoulCycle class in February! I actually had no idea I was close to this milestone until I went to class that day and, Pinij, my instructor congratulated me! I posted this photo to mark the milestone!

If you’re interested in my weekly workout schedules, check out my Week In Review posts each Friday – I share my workouts from each day of the week!

In February, I also got back on the intermittent fasting train! I’ve been successfully committed to IF for the past three weeks and plan to keep going strong! To read more about intermittent fasting and how I incorporate it into my lifestyle, check out this post!

I talked at length on Instagram Stories about the documentary, Toxic Beauty, that Michael and I watched earlier this month. I recommend that everyone watch it. It’s available to rent on Amazon and iTunes. It’s really well done and really eye opening and educational.

It’s no secret that I’ve been making a really big effort to change all of my skincare and makeup as well as Michael’s skincare and body care products to clean products over the last few years. While portions of the documentary are certainly frightening, it was also reassuring to see that clean products really do make a difference in what chemicals are being absorbed into our bodies! I won’t go into details about the documentary here, but I do recommend watching it. If you’re strapped for time, give this Vogue article a read (cliff notes of the documentary).
