I last shared my nighttime skincare routine back in January, and while you may recognize a few familiar products, I’ve also tried out some new ones over the last month or so that I’ve been loving!
My skin tends to be a little dryer during the winter months so it’s always nice to create a nighttime skincare routine refresh for spring (and now, almost summer!).
After cleansing my face with standard Cetaphil face wash, I use IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm to remove any excess makeup around my eyes and from my face in general. This jar has lasted me almost an entire year! It’s super gentle on my skin and gets the tough to remove mascara and eyeliner remnants off with just one swipe (I use a cotton ball to apply)!
My favorite mask as of late is the Cosmedix Detox Activated Charcoal Mask. I love using this mask on Sunday nights as a way to reset my skin for the week. While the Detox mask is definitely my favorite, I also love the Glow mask in the same line. The Glow mask is perfect for applying in the morning before putting on makeup for the day.
Now it’s time to layer! First, I’ll either apply the M-61 Hydraboost Line Reducer serum or the Skinceuticals Retinol cream (I’m currently using the 1.0, but I started with the 0.5). Since the retinol is pretty powerful, I usually alternate between the retinol and serum every other night.
My new absolute favorite nighttime under the eye treatment is the Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift cream. One of my favorite things about this product is the applicator. It’s metal and offers such a nice cooling affect when applying the cream, which Dermalogica refers to as a cream-gel – totally describes the consistency! It’s a thin, cooling cream that does wonders for puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles. And if you don’t believe me, just check out all of these rave reviews!
To top everything off and seal in all of the goodness, I apply an all over moisturizer. I love the Confidence In a Cream by IT Cosmetics! It’s rich and creamy without being greasy. I apply this moisturizer all over my entire face and even onto my neck. The Confidence In an Eye Cream is also amazing!
And last but not least, I apply Clarins Lip Oil. I have the Honey shade which doesn’t get on your sheets or anything else. The oil comes in a few different shades if you plan on wearing it out and about. I’m obsessed with this stuff. It’s a product that I’ve bought over and over!
One last note, I realize that a few of these products may seem a little pricey, however, every single one of these items lasts for months with plenty to spare!
