Stella & Dot's Crush It Backpack, a Versatile Travel Bag

I love a good backpack and always have one on hand. I have several and use mine mainly for the gym and travel. I used to use my backpack daily on my commute to work and while out running errands in DC (backpacks great for carrying lots of stuff while walking around the city!). I added this Stella & Dot Crush It Backpack to my closet a few weeks ago and have been using it ever since!

I brought it with me to Cleveland over the weekend and used it as my personal item carry-on piece (along with my Bigger Away Carry On Bag) and carried it each day while we were out and about exploring the city. It fits SO much!

Reasons I Love the Crush It Backpack

The Wide Open Zip Top

I love that the backpack has a wide open-mouth zipper opening at the top of the bag. It allows me to fit all of my necessities in the bag! For traveling, I fit my legal pad, laptop, book, DSLR camera, and my toiletry bag. Along with everything I threw in the inside zipper pouch, the bottom zip compartment, and the back zip slot! The wide open zip top makes it easy to access everything in the bag.

I won’t use a bag unless it has an inside pouch. I put my wallet, glasses, sunglasses, lip balm, keys, headphones, and any other trinkets in this pouch. It’s super roomy and I love that there’s an option to zip it up!

The Bottom Zip Compartment

The bottom zip compartment on this backpack is genius! It’s made for storing sweaty gym clothes, spin shoes, or anything you don’t want touching everything else in your bag. On this particular trip, I used it to pack my makeup bag. I have a rather large makeup bag, and it fit perfectly!

One feature I hadn’t even noticed until I read the details about the bag on Stella & Dot’s website – there’s a yoga mat holder under the bottom zip compartment! This would have been IDEAL while living in DC and walking to yoga class!

The Back Zip Slot

Lastly, I love that there’s a separate cellphone zip pocket on the back of the bag. I used this zip slot to easily store my phone while traveling and bouncing around the city.

Outfit Details

I love everything about this look – mainly because it’s made up of some of my favorite pieces in my closet. This long sleeve top is the perfect long sleeve for summer. It’s cotton-cashmere blend and v-neck make it great for cool mornings and evenings and warmer afternoons alike. I’ve worn it with shorts too (seen here). I love the fit as it’s easy to tuck in. I paired it with my go-to Levi’s. I wear these jeans at least twice a week. They’re easy to wear with flats and great for dressing up for date night on the weekends too! They run TTS and are made of true denim material (no stretch).

Lastly, I’ve been wearing these Everlane slide sandals OUT. They’re definitely my most worn sandal in my closet. The leather is like butter! I walked 6.5 miles in them around Cleveland on Saturday and didn’t have one single blister. They fit TTS. You can shop them here!
