I mentioned in my Summer Wishlist post that each summer I tend to add a new maxi dress to my closet.  Last year, I picked up this one, which I still love (it’s currently on sale!).  When I saw this floral maxi dress, I knew I had to have it!

I love the colors.  The pinks and blues and yellows are so pretty for summertime.  I also love the large ruffle/slight peplum hem.  The tassel ties (which make the straps adjustable) and the crisscross back are added bonuses.  The dress comes with a waist tie, but I prefer it without as it gives the dress more of a less-put-together, bohemian feel.

I wore the floral maxi dress to a baby shower that I helped to host this past weekend in Shreveport, it was perfect for the occasion.  I paired it with flat, gold sandals and a blush cross body bag (my exact one is sold out but this, this, and this are very similar!).  I’ll definitely be wearing it around the city here in D.C. as well as at the beach in a couple of weeks!

The dress is currently marked down by 40%!  For sizing reference, I’m wearing a size XS.  I’m 5’4″ and the length is perfect for flat sandals.

One last thing, shout out to my sister who I convinced to meet me early Saturday morning to shoot these photos!  I think she did a pretty stellar job! 🙂
