Happy Friday!  Hallelujah for a short work week – the shortest are sometimes the toughest to get through!

I spent last weekend and Monday and Tuesday at the beach, Navarre Beach, with Michael’s family.  From Friday to Tuesday we only left the condo/beach one time – to walk to the tiki hut for piña coladas.  It was amazing.  Such a relaxing few days where our days consisted of beaching it and nights consisted delicious home cooked meals (fresh gulf ahi tune, crab legs, and fresh caught red snapper!), lots of wine, and plenty of games.

We flew back from the beach on the Fourth of July.  To get our all-American burger fix, we headed to Shake Shack and then listened to the fireworks from our apartment.

On Wednesday, it was back to regularly scheduled programming.  I shared my staycation with Hotel Hive here in D.C., and now I’m dying to head back over there for a drink on their rooftop!  If you’re planning on visiting D.C., I highly recommend checking out Hotel Hive!

After taking Monday and Tuesday off, I decided to publish a rare Thursday post!  I shared three new additions to my closet that I can’t stop wearing!  The gingham top featured in the post is still on major mark down!

This weekend is the first weekend in seven weeks that I’ll be able to sleep in my own bed for the entire weekend!  We were in Europe for three weekends earlier this summer, then I headed to Shreveport two weekends in a row, then I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Hive, and then we headed to the beach!  To say that I’m excited to spend a weekend at home is an understatement!

If the weather cooperates, I’m planning on checking out to Jazz in the Garden tonight, and other than a birthday dinner for a friend tomorrow night and Soul Cycle on Sunday, I have no other plans!  I’m pretty excited to get a few things organized around my apartment and work on some behind the scenes things for the blog!

Have a great weekend!
