Happy Friday! I hope you had a nice week! I had a nice catch up week. Not many deadlines for blog projects or for my contracts business, which was really nice. I caught up on admin tasks like scheduling Pinterest pins, brainstorming content ideas to fill my editorial calendar over the next couple of months, and I had plenty of time to work on my Beautycounter business.

Michael and I are on the road this weekend – we drove down to Baton Rouge to spend a few days with my in-laws. We haven’t seen them since February so it’ll been great to have a few days to hang with them and a nice change of scenery!

I don’t want to give off the wrong impression, while we are visiting family, we’re doing it in a safe way. We’re still taking this pandemic very seriously. Neither Michael nor I have been anywhere while in Houston except to pickup online grocery orders and takeout food. We haven’t seen friends in Houston (except once, in June, in a backyard), haven’t been out to restaurants, haven’t been to group exercise classes etc. And even when visiting our family, I’m still super cautious. So while we’re venturing out to see family, please know that we’re doing it in a responsible way.

This Week’s Blog Posts

Review of 3 Clean Dry Shampoos: Rahua, Briogeo, Playa // I received such great feedback on this post! So glad it was helpful for so many of you! I shared a full review of my top 3 favorites, including pros and cons of each in the post!

Weekly Workouts

This week’s workouts …

For workouts this week, I did at-home Orangetheory on Monday and Tuesday, and yoga via this YouTube channel on Thursday. Both Orangetheory and yoga with Adriene are free! Really loving Adriene’s yoga YouTube channel!

I’m planning on getting in a long walk in Baton Rouge today and on Saturday too!

Weekend Plans

Like I mentioned, Michael and I are in Baton Rouge for the weekend. We’re planning on hanging at Michael’s parents house and enjoying lots of family time!

My Favorite Things this Week

Freedom Moses Slide Sandals // I’ve been eyeing these sandals for a while. I finally bit the bullet, and they did not disappoint! They’re under $50 and so cute and comfortable! They fit a bit narrower than Birkenstocks and run true to size. They’re available in lots of colors. I went with the metallic silver as a neutral, and I love them!

Biossance Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream // I received this eye cream as a gifted product from Biossance, a clean beauty brand, this week. I immediately started using it and WOW! It’s good! The consistency is almost like a puffy cream. It feels delightful on my under-eye area. I was planning on it being my nighttime eye cream, but it feels so nice that I’ve been using it at nighttime and in the morning too! Definitely worth trying out!

Have a nice weekend!
