While I went back to posting content that you typically see here on the blog this week, please know that everything I said in last week’s post – The Opposite of Hate is Not Love … It is Indifference – still applies. It’s been a heavy 2+ weeks. I’m continuing to listen and learn. I’m currently on chapter 4 of this book – So You Want to Talk about Race. It’s an insightful book – the author takes a look at and explains with clarity and through examples how race and racism affect a huge part of our everyday American lives.
On a lighter note, I’ve been excited to partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this week leading up to the first virtual Miracles on the Red fundraiser that’s happening tonight! The live, virtual event starts at 6PM CST. I’ll be sharing a “get ready with me” series of on Instagram Stories today, and I’ll be going LIVE on Instagram at the start of the virtual gala! Weekly Workouts
This week’s workouts …
This week, I did Orangetheory workouts Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Orangetheory is still offering daily workouts on YouTube for free. Michael and I have been doing Orangetheory almost every weekday since quarantine began back in March. We finish each workout with a quick run around the block!
I originally signed up to take my first SoulCycle class this week – I haven’t been since March 11th! My schedule ended up a little more packed than I expected this week, and I’m still not feeling 100% about going to a group class … Maybe this coming week!

Weekend Plans
Weekend plans are still weird. Houston and Texas as a whole, for the most part, are fully opened back up with limitations on capacity. But over the last few days, Texas has seen its highest rate of hospitalizations and cases related to Covid-19. So this weekend likely won’t look too different from the past few months.
The weather is supposed to really nice here in Houston this weekend so I’m planning on spending a lot of time outside! Looking forward to grilling out and hanging on our deck!

AGOLDE Denim Shorts // Still loving these shorts! I raved about these denim shorts in this Instagram post. I’m not a shorts person, but it’s HOT in Houston. Why are good denim shorts so hard to find?! I FINALLY found a pair that works! They’re the perfect length (no booty shorts), high rise, really soft, and just perfect, really. I wore them all day working from home one day this week. They don’t rise up. They really are great!
cabi Derby Dress // My mom (thanks mom!) sent this dress to me this week. It’s SO PRETTY! I love the bold print and the flutter hem and sleeves! For sizing reference, I have a XS. I might just have to throw it on tonight for the virtual gala!
