Try On Session at LUNA (Bethesda) // Sweater available here //

Skirt call LUNA for exact, similar look for less here & here // Ankle Boots

Hallelujah!  It’s Friday!  It has been one of those weeks where I’ve been trying to keep my head above water.  I arrived back home late Sunday night/early Monday morning from my bachelorette party due to delayed flights and that was pretty much how my week continued.  I had a handful of commitments that took me away from my desk this week, which lead to a stacked inbox and a long list of to-dos.  But not to fret, it’s Friday and everything that needs to get done will get done!  🙂

Let’s take a look back at the week, shall we?!

Monday

On Monday I shared a recap of my bachelorette weekend in Rosemary Beach.  I included where we stayed, what we did, where we ate, and links to a few different bachelorette party favor ideas.  We had such a fun weekend!  If you have any upcoming bachelorette parties, definitely check out the post for some inspiration!

I spent most of my day on Monday at my desk and ended the day with a ride at SoulCycle in an attempt to sweat out all of the wine I consumed over the weekend!

Tuesday

Michael and I took our engagement photos on Tuesday evening with our amazing wedding photographer, Adam!  Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the photos!  We lucked out with the weather – it was PERFECT and the sunset on the Mall was incredible that evening.

Since I was out of town all weekend, I totally dropped the ball on planning our outfits for the photos.  I ended up running to Madewell and found several items that worked out perfectly!  We did one dressy look and one casual look.  For the dressier look, I wore this simple black button-front dress and my favorite party shoes (I’m obsessed!).   For the more casual look, I wore this ivory wrap top, Madewell jeans, and these heeled booties.  I also grabbed this dress while at Madewell too – It’s so pretty on!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I shared my current skincare travel must haves!  I’ve been traveling a lot over the past couple of months (leaving again on Monday!), and these products are ones that I don’t leave home without.

Wednesday was a jam packed day.  I spent most of my afternoon at LUNA boutique in Bethesda doing an Instagram Stories try-on session (photo above).  LUNA is a boutique with brick and mortar stores in Bethesda (DC), Charlotte, Charleston, and Atlanta.  They’re also online!  They carry similar brands to Shopbop and Revolve.  I love shopping all of the pieces in-store!  I put a few items on hold, and I’m actually heading back there today to pick them up!  One of the items I purchased is the sweater pictured above.  It’s so cute and so versatile!  During the try-on session, I also paired it with black denim, and it would also look great with white jeans too!

After the try-on session, I headed to Barre3 to try out a new-to-me workout!  It was a great workout, and it’s nice to mix it up every once in a while!  Barre3 is a nice mix of pilates, yoga, and cardio.

Thursday

On Thursday evening I visited one of my favorite co-working spaces in DC, Fostr Collaborative, for an event hosted by RingletDC.  RingletDC hosts two panel events a year called Grit In The District where female business owners discuss their experiences of building their own businesses.  Thursday night’s topic was branding.  The ladies on the panel included RingletDC founder Elise Gallagher, Ringlet DC Creative Director Sophie Wheeler, Dionna Dorsey, founder of District of Clothing, Laura Metzler of Laura Metzler Photography, and Sophie Stich of Toastworthy.  I loved hearing from this group of women entrepreneurs!

I capped off the night by heading to the grand opening party for Varnish LaneVarnish Lane is a mother/daughter, locally owned and operated nail salon.  They just opened their second location in West End!  I’m super excited because this location is near me!  The salon is beautiful!  If you’re in the area, definitely check it out!

Weekend Plans

Michael and I are planning on checking out a local apple orchard this weekend, Butler’s Orchard to be exact.  The weather isn’t exactly cooperating with us, so TBD on whether we actually make it.  Other than that, we’re heading to a one-year-old birthday party on Saturday (yay!), and packing for a week long trip – we leave on Monday for somewhere tropical!  Stay tuned on Instagram

Favorite Things This Week

Free People Teddy Coat //

I mentioned this STEAL of a deal on Instagram Stories this week.  This year’s version of my Free People Teddy Coat from last year is marked down to $65 (originally $148!) TODAY (FRIDAY) ONLY!  It’s available in 4 colors and is in stock in all sizes!  Free People clothing hardly ever goes on sale, much less on sale for over 50% off on current season items!

Cropped Demi-Boot Cut Jeans //

I scooped up this pair of jeans from Madewell this week, and I’m obsessed!  I purchased them on Tuesday, and I’ve already worn them three times!  They look so cute with ankle boots (I paired them with this pair).  I always size down in Madewell jeans and did so in these as well.

Have a great weekend!
