If you’ve been reading Cobalt Chronicles for a while now, you’ve probably caught on to the fact that I’m definitely a jeans girl (exhibit A, B, C, you get the picture). Dresses usually just seem like more effort, although I’m not quite sure why as it’s just once piece of clothing compared to a few that you have to combine when throwing on a pair of jeans.
Anyhow, I decided to step a little outside of my comfort zone with this dress + over the knee combo. And guess what, I loved it! First of all, I love this maroon long sleeve dress. It has a bit of a peasant-y look to it without being too hippie-ish. The long sleeves make it totally seasonally appropriate. And the over the knee boots add a little warmth and still keep the dress casual but also pulled together. The maroon long sleeve dress + over the knee boot combo is perfect for the winter since it only leaves a little bit of skin showing – the bare leg look is not a good one this time of year! 😉
I’m sure I’ll always be more drawn to a jeans and sweater for my go-to winter look, but it’s nice to switch things up every once in a while!

Yay! Here’s to pushing comfort zones. This dress looks so great on you, and I love it with those OTK boots!
