I’m fascinated by morning routines. I love reading how others start their day. I shared my updated morning routine almost a year ago. As I re-read the post while putting together today’s post, for the most part, my routine hasn’t really changed that much over the past year.
An essential part of my morning routine is my coffee. I have two cups a day. My first cup around 5:30AM and my second cup around 9AM. This may seem like a very niche topic, but I consistently receive DMs regarding my at-home coffee, vitamins, and coffee machine. So I thought I’d share my morning coffee essentials with you!
Morning Coffee Essentials
Nespresso Vertuo Machine // Michael and I received our Nespresso machine as a Christmas gift 5ish years ago. It’s amazing, I love it, and I’ll never go back to another coffee machine brand again. I love the Vertuo machine because it makes both espresso drinks and full size cups of coffee. You can purchase both types of pods directly from Nespresso’s website. The Nespresso machine makes the frothiest coffee! With no milk added, there’s always a delicious foam on top. And the coffee is GOOD.
If you’re in the market for a new machine, I highly recommend this one. We opted for the bundle that includes a milk frother. You can get the same bundle here (and the price isn’t all that awful for a nice machine).
My Coffee // My favorite Vertuo pods are the vanilla and hazelnut flavors. I add a bit of Califia half & half to my coffee. Pictured here is the Califia Oat Milk Creamer. I either use this or Califia’s Better Half – Unsweetend Coconut Cream & Almond Milk blend. Califia is my favorite non-dairy creamer brand. Unpopular opinion, but I hate NutPods – to me their products leave the chalkiest taste in my coffee. But to each their own!
Lastly, for my second cup of coffee, I add 1 scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. It dissolves really well into the Nespresso coffee – not sure if it’s because of the extra froth or what, but I can’t see or taste the powder once it’s mixed in.
If you’re inspired to purchase one thing from this post, make it the YETI mug! Especially if you work from home! I use my daily for my second cup of coffee. It keeps coffee hot for hours! Best $25 I’ve spent in a long time!
And that’s it! If you’re interested in reading more about how I start my mornings, definitely check out my morning routine post!
