If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I LOVE to travel. With that said, the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 were so slammed with travel plans that I actually got a little burnt out. Throw a wedding and a cross-country move in there, and I needed a bit of a travel break.

After mostly staying put for the first few months of 2019, I’m excited for summer travel plans! Michael and I mapped out our summer travel a few weekends ago, and it got my amped for our usual beach trips and travels to a few new-to-me spots!

May

First up is San Francisco! I’ve been to SF before, but a couple of my closest friends live there so I’m always excited to visit! I was hoping to squeeze in a trip to Napa or Sonoma while in town, but as of right now, it’s not in the cards. With that said, I’m excited to explore more of the city while I’m there!

Michael’s youngest sister is graduating from graduate school in May so we’re heading to New Orleans & Baton Rouge to celebrate! I’ll take any excuse to visit New Orleans, and I’m excited for a fun weekend in Baton Rouge too!

June

We actually have two weddings to attend in June this year! One happens to be in my hometown so that one will be fun and familiar! And our DC friends are getting married in Cleveland, OH – a city I’ve never been to! I’ve actually never been to Ohio at all so I’m excited to check another state off of my list (number 30!).

In addition to two weddings, I’m also heading to my college town, Oxford, MS, for a girls weekend with my college girlfriends. I’m beyond excited for this trip! I try to get to Oxford at least once a year.

July

I don’t have any plans for the 4th of July just yet so hoping to squeeze in a fun trip over the holiday … TBD! Towards the middle of the month, I’ll be heading to Mobile, AL for a friend’s baby shower and then to Florida to spend a week at the beach with my family! Every summer since I can remember, we’ve vacationed in the Destin, FL area. It’s a trip I look forward to every year!

Michael and I have a couple of trips we’re still working on booking for July and August – We’re hoping to go to San Diego for a few days and venture down to Valle de Guadalupe (the Baja wine region) for a couple of days. Also high on our list for July/August is Banff, Canada! I’ve been dying to go visit Canada and Banff specifically! I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the summer months!
