Happy Friday! And Happy November 1st! I hope you had a fun Halloween last night! Our street had lots of trick or treaters, which was really fun! I handed out candy for an hour or two (until it was all gone) and loved seeing everyone’s costumes!

Now that Halloween is over, and it’s officially November, you better believe I’ll have Christmas music on while I’m working today! 🙂

THIS WEEK’S BLOG POSTS

October 2019 Amazon Favorites // A monthly favorite! I shared my October Amazon Favorites. This may have been my best roundup ever. So many good finds!

October Recap, Look Ahead to November // I shared a travel update, a wellness update, including a few thoughts about our half-marathon race last weekend, the most read blog posts from the month, as well as the items you clicked on the most in October!

Thoughts on Turning 35! // I celebrated my 35th birthday on Wednesday! I shared a few reflective thoughts plus a few tidbits that I’ve learned through the years. Michael and I celebrated by grabbing cocktails at Anvil (Pliny’s Tonic is my favorite cocktail in Houston!) and having dinner at Hugo’s. And then the Nats gave me their first-ever World Series win to cap off the night!

WORKOUTS

Last Sunday, Michael and I ran in the half-marathon we’ve been training for over the past few months! I took this week pretty light to let my body recover a bit and to just take a much-needed break.

With that said, here are this week’s workouts …

  • Monday: Rest Day
  • Tuesday: Rest Day
  • Wednesday: SoulCycle
  • Thursday: Rest Day
  • Friday: Rest Day
  • Weekend: Planning on SoulCycle Saturday!

PODCASTS

Since I work from home most days, I like to have a podcast on in the background. As a result, I listen to a lot of podcasts throughout the week. Most are business related, but some are just for fun. Here’s what I listened to this week …

Things to Note

I currently have a few discount codes for some of my favorite services and products. I share these on Instagram Stories often (and try to save them in my highlights), but I figured I’d share them here too in case you missed them!

Rent the Runway Unlimited // Use code RTRASHLEE for half-off of your first month’s service! I love using RTR Unlimited! You can read all about my experience with the service here!

Equilibria CBD // I’m just dipping my toes into the world of CBD, but I finally found a CBD company that I really trust, and I ‘m excited to be partnering with them. Equilibria is a women owned CBD company based in Chicago. I’ve been using the pain relief cream on my hips and calves after long runs while training for the half. One of the things I love most about Equilibria is that when you make a purchase, you are put in touch with a dosage specialist who can help you figure out what CBD dosage is best for you and your needs! You can use code cobaltchronicles for 15% off your first order!

Daily Harvest // My go-to, easy to make, at-home smoothies! These are great and so convenient! I love that they help me to mix up my smoothie game. When I’m left to my own devices, I tend to make the same combination smoothie day after day. Use code COBALT for $25 off your first order!

Territory Foods // The BEST already prepared, meal delivery service! If you’re in an area where Territory delivers (hey DC, Dallas, and more!), my code still works for $50 off across your first two orders ($25 off each order). Use code COBALT – I’m still lobbying for them to make their way to Houston!

WEEKEND PLANS

This is the only weekend I’ll be in Houston for the entire month of November! So I’m planning on relaxing, getting a few things done around the house, and enjoying being in town. I really have no set plans except for a SoulCycle class.

FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK

A few of my favorite things this week!

Amazon Sweater // I’m wearing this sweater in Look 1 above! And it made an appearance in my October Amazon Favorites post! It’s a really great find. It looks really cute front tucked into jeans (as seen above), but it’s also long enough to wear with leggings! For sizing reference, I have a size Small.

Reduce Stainless Steal Tumbler // I’ve talked about this tumbler before, but I love it. I use it almost daily. It keeps my water cold all day long and helps me to drink more water throughout the day. I ditched the straw it comes with and use these straws instead.

Beautycounter Countertime Tetrapeptide Supreme Cream // I started using this new-ish moisturizer by Beautycounter this week, and I’m really loving it. The consistency is somewhere in the middle – not too light but not too heavy either. Even though the name says “supreme cream” – I’ve been applying this moisturizer in the morning and at night. It is formulated with Bakuchiol, the plant-based retinol alternative. I’m loving it!

Everlane Square Neck Top // Seen above in Look 2 & 3! I received this top this week, and I’ve worn it twice already! It’s SUPER flattering! It has a ribbed texture and fits pretty snug, but because of the thicker knit fabric, it’s really flattering and doesn’t show much. It has cute details on the shoulders and at the wrists, and I love the square neck! It’s available in a few colors! I’m eyeing the Cider shade!

Have a great weekend!
