And just like that, Halloween is upon us and Thanksgiving and Christmas aren’t too far off! I knew this month would fly by as Michael and I were traveling for the first two weeks, then we ran a half-marathon, my birthday and Halloween are this week, and by Friday, it’s November! I’m excited for the next couple of months as I love the holidays and all of the hoopla that they bring!
Let’s take a look back at October and chat about the blog posts you loved, the items you clicked on the most, and more! And if you missed my September recap, you can check it out here!
Travel
Like I mentioned, Michael and I were out of town from October 2nd – 16th in Morocco and Portugal. I’m working on getting the travel guides published over the next couple of weeks! We had a blast! The two countries are so different even though they’re only a 1.5 hour flight away from each other. If you missed my packing posts, check them out here and here. I travelled for two weeks with only a carry-on bag (makes moving around so much easier!). And I hardly wore anything twice! It’s totally doable!
I stayed put in Houston for the remainder of October, mainly because Michael and I ran a half-marathon one weekend, and I’ll be out of town every single weekend in November. Yikes!
Wellness
Wellness is always something I’m working on and these posts are an easy way to not only keep myself accountable, but hopefully a place to share a bit of inspiration and a dose of reality as well.
Workouts
My running pieces: Lululemon Headband | Old Under Armour Pullover (similar) | Lululemon Align 6 Inch Shorts (wearing 6) | Nike Shoes (wearing size 8.5) | Armband for iPhone 8+
Michael and I ran our 3rd half-marathon together! I shared the training program I swear by plus a few pieces of running gear I’m currently loving in this post! And an update on how our training was going in this post!
The race was on Sunday, October 27th. I’m taking this week slow, but I’m planning on getting back to my 2/3 days a week of SoulCycle, 4 days a week of weight training at Anytime Fitness, and hot yoga once a week routine next week! I’m looking forward to taking a break from running for a bit.
If you’re interested in my weekly workout schedules, check out my Week In Review posts each Friday – I share my workouts from each day of the week!
Makeup & Skincare
Beautycounter released its holiday sets this month along with some limited edition anytime sets! I love the holiday sets as you can order a couple and break them up to spread among a few family members and friends! I’m grabbing a Mini Lip Gloss Vault and a few Glow & Go Mini Oils sets for gifts and the Pout Perfecter Lip Care Set and the Necessary Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette for myself! You can always shop with me by going to beautycounter.com/ashleehightower.

A Look Ahead to November
I’m SO looking forward to November as I have a lot of fun content coming your way plus I’ll be traveling a lot this month, which is always fun! The places I’m traveling to might not be that glamorous, but they’re all places that I love spending time … New Orleans, Birmingham, Mobile, and Baton Rouge!
Cheers to the new month (and holidays!) ahead!
