Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! First things first as I know a lot of you are interested in trying out clean beauty – Beautycounter accidentally published a discount code a couple of days ago on a podcast that ended up working and taking 10% off of EVERYTHING on the site. It’s still working, but I’ve heard that it ends tonight. A great chance to try out any makeup or skincare products or refill any that you’re running low on. Use code YFT for 10% off sitewide. This isn’t an official Beautycounter sale so I’m not exactly sure when the code will stop working, so act fast! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are all of my Beautycounter favorites!

It was so nice to be in Houston this entire week with minimal commitments outside of work. I’m starting to feel caught up after being away for two weeks. I should be back to my usual Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday posting schedule here on the blog next week – lots of fun content coming your way!

THIS WEEKโ€™S BLOG POSTS

The Best Trench Coat! // I was so excited to share this post with you! And even more excited that I FINALLY found a trench coat that checks all the boxes! I’ll be wearing this jacket all fall/winter season!

Best Fall Lipsticks (All Clean!) // I published this post before the Beautycounter discount code was leaked, but good news, now you can score all of the Beautycounter lipsticks in the post for 10% off! I included a couple of shades from other clean beauty brands in the post too! Use code YFT for 10% off sitewide.

WORKOUTS

Michael and I have been training for our 3rd half-marathon together (my 5th) for the last few months. Raceday is finally here! The race is this Sunday here in Houston. The weather is supposed to be great and the route is supposedly flat – two things I’m excited about! And if we’re being completely honest, I’m ready to get it done – ready to have my weekends back (no long runs on Saturday mornings) and ready to get back into my weekly workout routine (SoulCycle, yoga, weights!).

With that said, here are this week’s workouts …

  • Monday: Anytime Fitness weight workout
  • Tuesday: Rest Day
  • Wednesday: 3 mile run
  • Thursday: Rest Day
  • Friday: 3 mile run
  • Weekend: 13.1 mile run! ๐Ÿ™‚ Houston Half-Marathon Day!

PODCASTS

Since I work from home most days, I like to have a podcast on in the background. As a result, I listen to a lot of podcasts throughout the week. Most are business related, but some are just for fun. Hereโ€™s what I listened to this week โ€ฆ

Things to Note

Voyage Houston // I was honored when Voyage Houston reached out to feature me on their site! I shared a bit about how I got to where I am today and how I started Cobalt Chronicles and Contracts for Creatives. Check out the article here!

I currently have a few discount codes for some of my favorite services and products. I share these on Instagram Stories often (and try to save them in my highlights), but I figured I’d share them here too in case you missed them!

Rent the Runway Unlimited // Use code RTRASHLEE for half-off of your first month’s service! I love using RTR Unlimited! You can read all about my experience with the service here!

Equilibria CBD // I’m just dipping my toes into the world of CBD, but I finally found a CBD company that I really trust, and I ‘m excited to be partnering with them. Equilibria is a women owned CBD company based in Chicago. I’ve been using the pain relief cream on my hips and calves after long runs while training for the half. One of the things I love most about Equilibria is that when you make a purchase, you are put in touch with a dosage specialist who can help you figure out what CBD dosage is best for you and your needs! You can use code cobaltchronicles for 15% off your first order!

Daily Harvest // My go-to, easy to make, at-home smoothies! These are great and so convenient! I love that they help me to mix up my smoothie game. When I’m left to my own devices, I tend to make the same combination smoothie day after day. Use code COBALT for $25 off your first order!

Territory Foods // The BEST already prepared, meal delivery service! If you’re in an area where Territory delivers (hey DC, Dallas, and more!), my code still works for $50 off across your first two orders ($25 off each order). Use code COBALT – I’m still lobbying for them to make their way to Houston!

WEEKEND PLANS

Since our half-marathon is on Sunday, this weekend’s plans are pretty low key. I’m planning on watching college football and the World Series games – still debating who I want to win – my OG team (the Nats) or my new team (the Astros) – I think I’m leaning towards the Nats since they’re the underdogs … and I have a t-shirt! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Other than that, I’ll likely be lounging on the couch getting a little work done and resting up for the run on Sunday morning!

FAVORITE THINGS THIS WEEK

A few of my favorite things this week!

Everlane ReNew Sweatshirt c/o // I’ve worn this sweatshirt several times since I received it last week. (Pictured in Look 4 above.) I have the Brass color, which has a more brown tone to it than gold. I also love the Pale Sage! I have a size Small.

Everlane Cropped Alpaca Sweater c/o // I’ve been eyeing this sweater since it came out! (Pictured in Look 1 above.) Although it says it’s cropped, it’s not. It’s just not oversized. I took my regular size Small. I LOVE the buttons. I have the almond color, but I also love the rose too!

Erin Condren LifePlanner c/o // I received my 2020 planner, and I’m so excited to get to planning! This will be my 6th year to use Erin Condren’s LifePlanner! I love the brand and love the LifePlanner! This is my cover for 2020, but the fun part is that you can change out the covers throughout the year! I’m a huge proponent of writing everything down – I’m not big on electronic calendars – and this planner is by far my favorite! (And it’s under $60!)

Amazon Wrap Coat c/o // While it’s still a bit too warm in Houston for me to wear this coat out and about, it has become my work from home coat. I’m always cold. Even when I have the AC off at home. I love this easy wrap coat and can’t wait to wear it outside my house when the temps finally cool off! For sizing reference, I have a size XS.

Have a great weekend!
