TGIF! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been looking forward to Fridays more than usual over the past few weeks. I think it’s because by Friday I’m really ready to disconnect for a few days – from work, from my computer, from my phone, from the news in general. I hope you’re able to disconnect a bit over the weekend too!

This Week’s Blog Posts

March 2020 Amazon Favorites // My favorite Amazon purchases from March!

March Recap, Look Ahead to April // March was definitely a weird month. The first week seemed like business as usual and then quarantining became the new normal. I shared a little “life lately” in this month’s recap!

5 Ways to Practice Self Care at Home (April’s Do Good Challenge) // When has there been a better time for self care?! Check out April’s Do Good Challenge if you haven’t already and take a moment this weekend to treat yourself!

Weekly Workouts

This week’s workouts …

Since we’ve moved to strictly at-home workouts, I’ve been sharing my workouts daily on Instagram Stories. I saved them all to a highlight on my Instagram page if you need some inspiration! Most are short 30 minute workouts, easy to squeeze in!

This week, Michael and I did Orangetheory workouts Monday-Thursday. They’re free and viewable on YouTube!

Today (Friday), Michael and I are streaming a yoga class from the studio we attend here in Houston, Yoga Works. You can check out the schedule here: https://www.yogaworks.com/classes/live/ They’re free too!

We’ve also been taking numerous short walks around our neighborhood during the day to break up the days.

Podcast Recs

Here’s what I listened to this week! I’ve been listening to less podcasts than I normally do as I opt to have music on more frequently while working.

Bad on Paper Podcast: The Distraction Zone: How We’re Staying Entertained While Distancing

Be There in Five: Marshall’s Law (I laughed out loud during this pod numerous times!)

Weekend Plans

I’m so looking forward to unplugging a bit this weekend. Lots of reading time and hoping for no rain so we can spend some time outside!

A few things on my to do list this weekend to pass the time (and be a bit productive):

  • Catch up on ordering a few Chatbooks – I love these easy to make photo albums! I have two of Michael and I’s trips that I need to make albums for – so I’m planning on doing that this weekend! You can get $10 off your first order with this link!
  • Frame and hang a few pieces of art Michael and I picked up in New Orleans (using these frames!)
  • Reading my book – currently reading this!
  • Getting ahead on blog posts
  • Crossing my fingers for no rain so that we can go on a few long walks!

My Favorite Things this Week

A few of my favorite things this week …

Ilia Liquid Eye Liner (Clean Product!) // I’ve had a hard time finding a clean product to replace my Stila liquid eyeliner (not clean). But I finally found a clean equivalent! I’ve tried a lot of clean liquid eyeliners, and nothing compares to the one by Ilia. I finally tried it this week, and WOW! It’s awesome! The applicator pen is perfect, makes the liner so easy to apply! And the eye liner itself is great, doesn’t smudge. Highly recommend!

Beautycounter Mineral Sunscreen // We had two BEAUTIFUL days in Houston this week. I setup a little makeshift desk outside for most of those two days. I had to break out my sunscreen while I was outside. First time using my Beautycounter Mineral Sunscreen this season! It’s my favorite clean, non-toxic mineral sunscreen! Get 20% off by signing up for Beautycounter’s email list!

Patio Furniture // We’ve had this patio set since we moved to Houston a little over a year ago. Michael and I have been putting it to use over the past few weeks! It’s the perfect set for a smaller space! We have a small deck that the set fits perfectly on!

Sending all the good vibes your way this weekend!
